I'm wondering where they got my email ady.

Me too.

I've never had an account with betcris and what pisses me off is that they have my confidential addy and not my yahoo bullshit addy I give to the bookies.

I really could care less about the hundy but DON'T promise it to me and then not pay up.

I just spoke with BetCRIS the email originated from ex Rx. poster Betting Prophets. He told BetCRIS he had 31 potential clients that he would like to get signed up at Bet CRIS. The email ended up getting sent by Betting Prophets to many more than 31 addresses. CRIS honored the first 100 and closed the promo. Unfortunately Betting Prophets continued to send out emails. He was asked by BetCRIS to send them the original 31 emails and he replied by saying he accidently deleted the addys after he sent them out. Once CRIS started getting bombarded by people from all over the world they stopped the promo after 100.

BetCRIS apologises to anyone who was inconvienenced by this unfortunate incident.

How Betting Prophets got any Rxer emails is a total mystery to me. He did not get them from current Rx. management.

Thanks, wilheim

I never get any emails from that scumbag anymore since I changed my email address. Made me wonder where he was getting my email address before as I only used that one for sportsbooks and a few gambling forums. I also have gotten a number of tout calls from a Canadian number on my cell phone. How he or they ever got that number I'd like to know because I give it out to practically nobody. :icon_conf

Just for the record:

BetCris has the best options for sportsbettors in the world and fastest
payouts, loyalty awards, poker, casino whatever you need its all there
since
1996

BetCRIS does not use since 1996 in any of their communications.

Betting Prophets works as an affiliate agent with many books (CRIS included) and creates his own emails.

I got this email too. Signed up, they told me the money would be in in 24hrs. It wasn't so I inquired again and he told me that it was only available to the first 100 signups.

I told him to close my account.

I can confirm that there is an Rx email list from 12-24 months ago that has made its way into "circulation".

You can come to your own conclusions as to how it got out, but it's not rocket science.

I would like to make it clear that BetCRIS did not send any of these emails to anyone here at The Rx. (or anywhere else). They were sent by a guy who posts by the name of Betting Prophets - he created the emails and used his own email database to contact anyone here.

He also mislead CRIS by promising to just use 31 emails for his promotion. Books work with affiliate agents like this all the time.

Since this incident BetCRIS has severed all ties with Betting Prophets.

I understand why some of you might be angry about getting an email that contained an expired offer but the fault is not BetCRIS'.

Thanks, wilheim

I got the same email, I remember leaving my email for someone in a Poly Thread a couple weeks ago. The guy could have done a search for "@" and just farmed the emails.

That is one of the reasons The Rx. does not allow private email addresses to be posted on any of our forums.

Rx. Email policy:

The Rx. does not allow posters to use private email addresses in threads in any of our Forums..

Anyone wanting to contact another poster by email please contact me at wilheim@therx.com

Include your own exact user name and the exact user name of the poster you want to contact.

I will forward messages but not give out email addresses of posters who have not previously OKd' it by email.

Thank you, wilhiem..

And the reason the Rx does not want PM's , its clowns like BP . It's unfortunate these types exist on the forums.

FWIW-It's my understand that the previous owner did not personally have access to the email database(or didn't know how to), but that a couple other (former) staff members did.

Jeff, we all know that you have a gripe with Cris. It's a $100 promo than an afilliate apparently went way overboard with. They are still one of the pioneers in the industry, and this isn't going to change over that.

If you have a legitimate bitch, let it fly-but this is a long ways from being what should be a serious issue.

Do you not believe the circumstances behind the $100 promo mess?

I think what Jeff is saying is "no-one circles the wagons to defend its sponsors like the Rx mods."

Why are you in this thread?

Did you get an email?

We did.
