Is this a good bet??????? MNF!

Most places won't let you parley within the same game 1st half and total but I have a place that will.

I took Denver -3 1st half, Denver -6 game, & under 43.5
$100 to win $500.

Most parley will pay you 6 to 1, but I figured since they are letting me do the half and game in the same game, it was worth the 5 to 1 payout.

Is this a good bet? Or am I a dummy :neenee:

No, this really is not a good bet. However, it does have a good change of winning tonight, but I would not make a habit out of betting like that...you'll lose in the long run. You win 2 out of 3 and still lose. What if Denver is up a TD at half and wins the game 31-13? Then you have a loser...if you play them all separate, you make money. GL tonight though...hope it cashes for ya!

Thanks for the feedback. Generally, I NEVER bet parlays. I always bet single games or totals.

However, I was just thinking since the half and game bet normally would go hand in hand, there would be some sort of value. Then again, I would probably be better off going with the dog in that case, to avoid a back door cover.

I have another out with Cinci +7.5 at +100, might be time to try to hedge and so I can play another day.

that statement is not correct.... If it were so every book would let you parlay the first half with the full game..... The first half is co-related with the full game...

it is for similar co-related reasons that books do not allow Run Line Bets with Totals within the same game in baseball.....

obviously they do not allow this.....

at +500, with the correlated first half & full game.....

that is an EXCELLENT bet.....

If you figure that the 1st half and game go hand in hand 80% of the time, then my bet looks pretty good. Hmmmm, who would have stats on that?

If you were really smart you would have just taken the -3 half and - 6 game and leave the total alone.

MC, yeah the total has me a little woried. For some reason, I have this vision of Cinci putting up 20 points tonight, killing any chance for this thing to come through. But to get the odds on this bet, I had to play all three and with the total at 43.5, seemed like under was the only play to make.

Then again, everyone and their cousin is on Denver. I have this system that incorporates public perception and it's pretty strong on Cinci +7.5.

But then there's my gut....I guess that's the diff between professional gamblers and us hacks.

Try this

If game is over in first half. most likely it will stay over for the game.

So best 3 way on same game would be to go over/over or Under/under an than team.

My bookie lets me do this too.

My favorite is over 1st hald/over for the game parley pays 2.6.

If game is over the total in first half you can hedge with under in 2nd half and win both

Good point. I don't think they have totals for the half, but it's worth checking into.

I had never seen it either before, but one of my local outs allows it. At 5:1 for 3 games. I'm not sure who the moron is, them for allowing it, or me for playing it. Locals are great for Dog lines too, some of them are crazy! Like Jags +10.5 yesterday.
