You still have better than a 50/50 shot.

It's over you are right. Freakin Master L just bet the Cardinals every way you can bet them. I'm done. I better take some more hedging today and drink heavily. St Louis can overcome the poor play recently, and the injuries but Master L being allllllllll over them? That they cannot overcome. I'm starting to drink heavily now.:drink: :drink: :drink:

I have just been through the worst games I can ever go through. USC ML and second half -10, KC Chiefs first quarter and half, and now this bet. My stomach cannot take anymore of these games or alcohol for that matter.

:lolBIG: Well bro, things have apparently gone to $hit in just a matter of days huh?? Unbeliveable stuff/breaks that have gone against us lately, with the injury situation being by far the worst. And just for the record I am officially "nervous" about all my future bets on the Cards so I know you must be really stressing out. :smoker2: Good news is you just need one more win, which is a lot better than me having to count on them to win 3 out of the next 4 games. I still think and gotta believe that someone on that Cards team steps-up for at least one frickin game and clutch moment, whether it be Pujols or Edmonds or somebody, and supplies some much needed offense that has all but disappeared lately. So yeah, this bet isn't looking nearly as "certain" as it did last week but I still think you'll be a winner in the end! :103631605 Just have to hope and pray and I've found lots of :drink: helps also!! GL bro!!

pimple you're in deep shit...never thought the Cards would look this bad after G1. Must win game coming with Pettitte. Best wishes you man, hope you cash. If not, take heed that your play was cursed from the get-go by the title of your thread! :103631605

Exactly. That's is why I hate posting my plays here with their own threads. It usually works out with a loss. Factor in a very strong word and it's a perfect fade.
I do not think it was a bad bet because it was not on one game, and there was a perfect chance after Game 1 to make money either way (the Astros to win 4-1 were +1900). I usually take that opportunity. Since I hedged before the series started I decided not to, plus the Cardinals looked like World beaters. Plus, the greed and complacency kicked in.:103631605
Now the question I have is to hedge further tonight or ride it out. This series has been a home and home series. The Cards look done. Tonight is a huge game for both teams. If Carpenter can pull out tonight the Cards go back to St. Louis with a chance to do some damage and fight back into this thing. Houston obviously wants to close this out at home, tonight.
Baseball playoffs the past few years have been awesome for me, this year it has been brutal.
The NFL is rough too in that there are no teams that are your Steelers, New England, and Philadelphia of last year who just were way above the rest. This year with the exception of a few, anyone can win on any given day.

Unbelievable finish. Pujols shot was incredible. He looked so bad on the first pitch and then Lidge hung one and there's your winner. Huge AB by Eckstein to get his hit with 2 strikes. Congrats.

After your initial post I looked at the bet and thought it was a lock as well(it was by the way LOL).I bet it for a nickel.I think I layed $4300 and change and was sweating it with both nuts.I am posting this b/c I learned something from this bet.I the Championship series 2-3-2.The home team does not really have the edge.If the road team splits the first two. They have the edge.I never really paid such close attention.Just my opinion on these series bets.

You owe Pujols a salad tossing. Pretty ironic considering his last name.

I actually really liked the play.

You didn't put all of that chalk for them to win the series, or to win 3 games....just to win 2 games, and as good as Houston has played, and as close as they came, you still won your bet. Which goes to show maybe guarantees do exist. Congrats on your hit. Don't spend it all on the same stick of gum now.
