Exactly. That's is why I hate posting my plays here with their own threads. It usually works out with a loss. Factor in a very strong word and it's a perfect fade.
I do not think it was a bad bet because it was not on one game, and there was a perfect chance after Game 1 to make money either way (the Astros to win 4-1 were +1900). I usually take that opportunity. Since I hedged before the series started I decided not to, plus the Cardinals looked like World beaters. Plus, the greed and complacency kicked in.
Now the question I have is to hedge further tonight or ride it out. This series has been a home and home series. The Cards look done. Tonight is a huge game for both teams. If Carpenter can pull out tonight the Cards go back to St. Louis with a chance to do some damage and fight back into this thing. Houston obviously wants to close this out at home, tonight.
Baseball playoffs the past few years have been awesome for me, this year it has been brutal.
The NFL is rough too in that there are no teams that are your Steelers, New England, and Philadelphia of last year who just were way above the rest. This year with the exception of a few, anyone can win on any given day.
