What is left of this team...Pitching , pitching and more pitching...and for the time being a slick fielding 3rd baseman with pop,Chavez will probably be the next Pinstriper

Is anyone giving the Non-Swinging A's any chance this year?

Do we have any A's fans out there?

I like the A's because of their "Moneyball" philosophy.
Look at their rotation, it has to be up there with the best. Zito, Hudson, Muler, Redman, Harden.
Plus, their patient offensive philosophy will win them far more games than they lose.

They are everything that is RIGHT with baseball,in my opinion, the anti-Yankees.

There are plenty of them, but they are so vastly outnumbered by the Giants fans. I remember when I used to ride BART from the City to Fremont daily and if there was a game on I would often see a lot of familiar faces heading to the Coliseum. The thing about the Bay Area is that is football season, and then there is everything else. People there would gleefully ignore most baseball games, but religiously watch their NFL team even when they suck, like last year.

I didn`t mean the A`s were at fault or that pitching and patience at the plate is the WRONG formula..

I meant this team should be in its glory with thriving young players in their prime, but when you lose MVP`s Giambi and Tejada over the span of 3 seasons, that is WRONG!

Its a damn shame...I always liked the A`s..It was good to see them rebuild with so many great young stars, now this!??

I think it was `79 the A`s drew less than 400,000 fans for the entire season @ Oak...it looked like they were moving then came 'Billy Ball'...Martin may have saved them in Oakland, he ended up destroying the starting staff as he used them til their arms fell off, but he brought back excitement out there.

Journey, I am afraid for 95% of MLB that is the reality of the economics of the time. My beloved Marlins did the same thing, and I don't think any Fish fans would complain about last year's magic. One of these years the starts will align in the postseason for the A's.

This made many die hard fans Cry
