Is there really a difference between NL $1/2 and $2/5 cash games?

I've only played with friends but the casino has these tables and I don't really see a difference. I would be coming with $500 to the table so the amount would easily cover both tables. What am I missing?

1/2 NL you have to pay $2 to see the flop. 2/5 you have to pay $5 to see the flop. Unless of course there is a raise preflop.

1-1 $500 gets you at least a couple buyins. 2-5 You only get one crack at it. Can be done in a hurry.

Big time skill difference in your opponents. Wouldn't even consider 2/5 until you've consistently beaten 1/2. Unless of course you are just fucking around and don't care about the money.

I've consistently beaten $1/$2, but I've never sat down at a $2/$5, I think the swings would give me an ulcer, even though I
can easily afford it (the money, not the ulcer)...
