I go thru a toll road pretty much everyday and see these same people, how do they do it? All day long holding out their left hand out and smelling the exhaust of car after car after car

about 15 years ago i worked graveyard shift like hours in the flower district in LA before Xmas - to make some extra $$$.

it was pretty cold at night (ok - not as bad as if i lived in the midwest or northeast - but for LA it was cold - temps into the 40s/50s at night) and i worked with poinsettias. i had to wear gloves to keep from getting pricked all the time. the job sucked. funny thing is - one of the guys i worked with was "freemen williams". for those who follow the nba for a long time - he was drafted by the clippers and was supposed to be "da bomb" but because he had the IQ of wallpaper paste - couldn't cut it.

the only nice thing about the job was on the last day, we were all given a ton of poinsettias - and i took them home to mom so she could display them when she hosted the Xmas party a few days later.

top 4 worse jobs of all time..

1- Autopsy guy- cutting dead bodies..

2- Working at funeral home on midnight shift keeping eye on dead bodies.

3- Construction worker, working 23 stories up and hoping not to fall off.

4- Ambulance worker- The guys that have to go pick up dead bodies after a wreck..

__________

But worse job i ever had, and i did it for one day 19 yrs ago, and never again.

Waiter- nothing worse than being abused by customers yelling at you for not getting them their water in time, or picking up their dirty plates, and dirty napkins with their dirty mouths on it, then the worse part was when they would leave a mess on the table and leave no freakin tip. I swear i felt like chasing them out and punching their lights out. No worse job than being a waiter.. It's like you are paid to be their slave for 30 min and they get to control you and boss you around and treat you like shit, and the worse part is, you have to suck up to them. But not me, no one bosses sick gambler around and tells him what to do and controls him like that.. I am NOT picking up anyones mess.. I swear, if i was a waiter today and some loser treated me like this, I would tell him where to go..

yes there would appear to be a lot of bad things that go on there. not only that, sonny got killed at one of these.

as far as worse goes. one day in bad times for me, i worked for a work a day. they sent me to a moving company. it was 98 and humid but we paced ourselves and the family we moved for was nice and bought us lunch it was small home like maybe 175,000$ range (that is not that expensive in mass) but about 2-3 hours before finishing up they needed help at another home so they volunteered me.

well this home was a originally a school in the 1700's and very huge and worth 3 million and owned by some guy who used to work for anderson consulting.

i get there, it is still 98 and humid. 1 guy is sprawled out from heat exhuastion and the other two kids have more sweat pouring off their face than patrick ewing. the more money people have the more heavy old authentic antique crap and just crap in general they have. he had a safe that by itself took 4 people and 20 minutes to move (even with the use of a dolly).

i just remember slugging down water every 10 minutes and thinking of corey stringer and my heart is starting to make wierd gurgly noises carring heavy huge boxs down a huge set of stairs and through all the adjacent rooms out to the truck. you want to kill the driver becuase you and the other 2 guys are sweating your ass nearly killing yourself while he just points at where he wants it in the truck as he tosses a sticker on it.

14 hours of moving in that heat. the first 7 at the little home was total cake, the last 7 was damn near cruel and unusual punishment. and you work non stop so you can go home sooner.

the driver told me he had smashed all 10 of his fingers moving a piano down a stairway one time.

these guys make good money, but that is a damn tough job. also consider the long road trips of the drivers and the fact you dont know who will be helping you until you arrive at the persons home or how much the home owner will be up your ass telling you to be careful with this this and that.

decent money for a HARD HARD days work, but i would never do it again.

I had a job once when I first got out of school working as a Chimney Sweep Assistant, paid like 7.50 an hour (lol, I guess that would be the name for it)

I had to get up at 5 am , I ended up staying up all night so I wouldn't be late...well I show up to work and its like 100 degrees, the guy is yelling at me to get these tools out of his truck

I have no idea what he's talking about

, and believe me I am not a laborer in any way...

I ended up going inside the house we were working at it was ice cold in there as they had the air conditioning cranked way down....I ended up falling asleep on the couch

...the man that hired me comes in and asks me

"what the hell I'm doing?"....I told him I had to get something from my car and ended up leaving...it was the worst day I ever had at any job

Lesson; don't ever try to stay up all night then go to a job

working at an old folks home cleaning nasty asses all day would suck.

being a tout sucks

but the worse job ever has to be the guys who work at a barbecue stand. 120 in the kitchen, they all look like shawn kemp and sweat is pouring all day. great food though if you dont look at the guys in the kitchen.

Demarco thought that being a tout sucks. I don't think that being a tout is that bad a job. Being a tout that has to lie 98% of the time, every sentence spoken, that would suck. Demarco sees nothing wrong with what he says and does. This is one sick individual in my opinion.

Were you? I guess you would not be posting if you were!

I have always thought that being a security guard must be the worst job ever

99.99999% you have nothing to do

and the 0.00001% you better be alert or otherwise you might be dead or in serious trouble!

so you can't relax and its boring almost all the time

It is idiots like you who keep me in the tout business. Just when you think all the suckers have dried up a clown like you shows up thinking you're a winner and you just get crushed.
