Thinking about going up in about 3 weeks, just wondering if theres any casinos giving away rooms to new guests. Dont know if they are hurting that bad or not, OT : anyone seen the movie hard eight and how the guy tells him how to play to get comps and stuff? I have alot of family who get comped.. but I am not sure if they are allowed to give those to friends? and it would have to land on the exact date I plan on going down there.

Do you go to any of the local casinos? If so, a Harrah's card from one of your local joints will help you with a Harrah's property in Vegas.

If your friends are big enough players, they can get you comped room.

Also, if you play enough, you can get your room comped when you leave.

I asked a similar question not long ago crz

I was also wondering if you can use places like the Bahamas & Vegas as leverage against one another by informing one of them that you frequent the other and wanted to give the other place a try.
But tell them the only problem is you get free hotel/room at the place you always go & wondered if they would offer the same just to get you there to play.....

Unless it is the same property in a different locaction, they will tell you to play and we will let you know.

You can get a room for $40 or less midweek at a decent hotel ( like Golden Nugget), so room rates aren't much to worry about.

You could almost live in a major hotel, instead of an apartment, if you had a decent job in Vegas, not quite, but fairly close. Something like a construction job ( there aren't any), where you make $200/day or so.

Um, I play at a small time indian casino nearby doubt they have any affiliation with Harrah's. 40 bucks a night at the Nugget really ? I could afford that.. how would you go bout getting comps by playing ? Also, I'm sure my father could get me a comped room, not sure that means he would. SO would like to know how do I go about getting a room myself

Offer to wire them $5k or $10k or $20k depending on the resort. Most will chance comping you a room...

Even easier if you have a host somewhere who will vouch that you actually play.

These days, rooms are a joke. I have casinos I have not stepped foot in in 10 years sending me free rooms with $500 or $1000 in comp chips to come play.

Yes, $40 a night ( more for Fri/sat). You can $20 a night at lesser places like Las Vegas club.

Free rooms to "new" guests without knowing someone? No. Not gonna happen.

Like mentioned earlier, if you gamble enough on your trip with your players card, you can get your room comped.

Good luck with that though. You might lose 5K at the tables or slots just in hopes of paying for your $69 room.

i was going to say, if you have never been before and your worried about the cost of room, your probably not going to be gambling enough for them to comp you at the end. Best bet would be just to find the cheapest room at a decent hotel, i mean its just a place to sleep if your going to be out partying/gambling all day

Call Fairfield Resorts at Harrah's & try to get on a timeshare presentation

Basically 3 free nights for an 1.5 hour timeshare presentation.

The way to go in previous years for March madness. This year,
however,reasonable/comped rooms are around.
