I am not an Illinois Attorney, however it seems that a firm has been contracted to urge you to pay the tickets. What I would do is check with the municipal authorities, I.E. DMV, Chicago PD, Parking.. etc to determine if you have any outstanding tickets, etc. Next, I would attempt to recover copies of the said tickets, you can subpoena this information, however it makes the process more long and drawn-out for a layman. The simple and best solution is to offer a written notarized response back to the Attorney in question, stating that you wish to challenge the validity of the tickets, thus you will have the option via discovery to see what the evidence is against you if this goes to trial. More than likely this will not happen, this firm has more than likely been contracted to attempt to recover "some" of the debt incurred from parking tickets, which in a city like Chicago are a scam anyway. However, before you do this check to make sure that this course of action will not impede you ability to drive in any capacity. The possibility of a warrant is also possible; however not likely, only if one forgets to show up to a court hearing. Who is to say that you actually received the tickets as well, they may have blown off your car window, etc. Pay only the original fine, because this is the first instance of notification that you had been issued parking tickets, also a timeless of prosecution issue may be possible, four years to notify someone, normally they impede one's ability to drive with-in six months to a year max. Sorry to cut this so short, I have some preseason to watch. Any further questions, just ask.
