i stayed there last t-giving. the cost was reasonable (DO NOT book thru them - find some wholesaler of vegas rooms and you will pay MUCH less - i am going back for t-giving this year - and their site wants $170 per room - but some wholesaler wants $155 for TWO nights).

i didn't really play there much since i wasn't there much. how are the books and tables?

tables - i've seen better - i've seen worse

books - SUCKS! it is very small and they really only have one for the morons who stay there and want to bet Notre Dame the Lakers or Cubs - no matter what the line is. if you are serious about your sports gambling - this is NOT someplace you should even consider making a bet.

it is not in the greatest of neighborhoods (understatement time) but i never did feel as if i was in any danger - and always felt secure. of course at night i didn't "f***" around outside - i parked my car and went inside and stayed there. if you want to walk around at night and feel safe - stay at a strip hotel or downtown where you can walk the fremont experience.

it is affordable - but only because of where it is at.

if you don't mind being in the middle of nowhere - go for it.

you should try this, too:

go to yahoo/google - and punch up something like "las vegas hotels" or "las vegas discount hotels" and you will get a lot of wholesalers. the rooms will be cheaper - BUT - you are locked into what ya got. you CAN'T change anything once the reservation is made - and paid for with a credit card once you make it - and should you have to cancel you will get almost nothing back after penalty fees.

as i've said - i've stayed better places - i;ve stayed at worse.

If you got a car the stratosphere is not a bad place to stay. You will be close to the strip and not very far from downtown. Try travelaxe .com, and you can probably get a better rate.

They used to have 100% video poker machines the last time I hit a royal was on them. Don't know if they still are there.

I was thrown out of the sportsbook for going over the $300 limit on cbb totals three years ago during March madness. Enjoyed them sweating though.

I hear the new tower is nice.

Krackman- Their VP was a total grind. Much better stuff around town as you probably well know. They used to have a bank of FLUSH ATTACK.....that was fun to dabble on once in awhile. They also had some nice slot BONUS machines that I was able to make some money on...think both are history. Good luck.
Krackman- Also, would you like to be named SECRETARY OF STATE for operation GAMBLERS FREEDOM. I am offering you that position. Thank you sir.

You might see Bob Stupak stumbling around, talking to himself about what went wrong after he won $1 million on the Bengals in the Super Bowl.

Year of "The Catch," by Dwight Clark, if I am not mistaken.

Stupak's place was the only place to play Crapless Craps. Was fun trying to roll a 2 or 12 to make your point w/odds. What a payout.

I don't endorse many but Strut is top shelf. I'd leave my wife and kids with him.

Almost trust him with my bankroll too.

Strut - sounds good but you have to get off your girlfriend long enough to leave the house.

I still remember the good old days when sex was fun and not a chore on my list to do each week. Thank goodness Mondays only come once a week.
