First of all I'm not familiar with the Rx guarantee, even if there is one, but if a sportsforum, or any site, promotes other sites and gives guarantees then those should be covered regardless of the circumstances.
Let's get one thing clear, the U.S. gov't. has not shut down BoS, BoS ownership/management made the decision to shut down their site, temporarily or otherwise, regardless of the circumstances. Their site is shut down because their CEO and others have been detained by the U.S., but there is certainly no legal order nor does the U.S. have jurisdiction to shut down BoS.
I have to say that the banners I've seen on this site as "gold", "platinum", or other rated sportsbooks that one would be led to think are premium sportsbooks, imo and experience, are certainly not the cream of the crop. It certainly has appeared that anyone that is willing to pay the price charged by the Rx for "platinum, "gold", or whatever other placement has been able to do so without problem. IMO, sportsforums should be much more of a "player" advocate than a "sportsbook" advocate, and when a sportsforum starts advocating sportsbooks there is a big responsibility that goes along with that to confirm that these books are of the highest reputation, especially in this industry. Sometimes one has to sacrifice a few dollars to "do the right thing", and that's not always easy to do.
There are a handful of books out there that one does not have to worry about having his money at, and those are the Pinnacles, Cris's and Olympics of the sportsbook industry....there are only a handful. And they really don't need to spend 100K a month in advertising, their reputation speaks for itself.
