Is the nova/cuse game a trap?

Look at these numbers. Is the game a trap ? Why the heck are they 6 point dogs ?

Nova is 12-11 SU vs. Cuse at 14-6, but Nova is 14-7 ATS and Cuse a lowly 7-13.

Nova is 8-1 ATS as away dog. Cuse 3-9 as home favorite. Cuse only 4-10 in favorite role period.

Nova is 8-4 ATS vs. conference, Cuse 4-8 ATS vs. conference.

Cuse only 2-7 ATS vs. teams with winning records.

Also, Nova is 7-4 ATS after an ATS spread win, while Cuse is 4-9 ATS after an ATS loss.

Cuse Home power with 4 points added for Home court
87. League Power at home. 84

Nova Away Power 88 League Away Power 87

SOS Nova 23rd Cuse 84th

Nova Away SOS 19th Cuse Home 64th

it does seem a bit fishy. for that reason and the fact that nova gave every thing they had last game to make a huge run at the end and still came up short. i will make a play with cuse. Bodog has it cuse -6.5 -105. im gonna wait a bit as im pretty confident this will go down to six and maybe 5.5. good luck. check out my southern ala-florida int thread. best of luck to you.

Buckeyez, you have to ask jcambert, he touted that he a professional gambler and has the in's on the Vegas trap situation.

For me, my opinion is that Vegas in the beginning of the season over valued the Syracuse because they knew that alot of people will be on the Defending National Champs, and especially at home. This is why such a bad ATS record at home. Then they adjusted it, to where it seems alittle tighter. But now, this line is like this because I feel that they think that alot of people will be thinking that for one the last second shot will be the motivating factor for Syracuse to finally wake up and play good. Then second, because they are on the bubble so to speak, they will come out and play well. I think Vegas is assuming that people will believe that Syracuse will do this. I dont , and that is why I would rather go with the tested road dog with Villa in this one. They are money on the road. GL and Aloha CC.

jcambert, is very in-tune I agree with that post above.. As far as this being a trap???? I really don't think so.. Syracuse looked like shit Saturday and that miracle win/cover made this a 7 point spread.. I think Nova keeps this close and has a chance to win at the end of the game.. I may be wrong but the numbers all pointed to a close game when I went over this play last night... I capped it at Syracuse -2.5/3....

You want an example of a "trap" game? Look at Oklahoma St. @ Missouri tomorrow -- Missouri should be a 2 or 3 point favorite in this game and it opened at a PK....my feeling is that the public will hammer the cowboys and pay dearly for it....of course, i could have my head up my ass.

jimmymo.. no your head is not up your ass.. I think you are 100% correct there.. MISSOURI is finally playing as I thought they would to start the season ... I like this Tigers team and tomorrow they will beat OSU in solid FASHION!

I haven't seen the lines for Tuesday's games yet but IMO the line on MIZZ and OSU should have OSU as the favorite not Mizzou. If the line is at a PK you are right everyone will be on the Cowboys because they are "the better" team by rankings but I also agree that I think that the Tigers have a great shot at beating OSU. I think this line could be at OSU -3 and everyone would still be playing the Cowboys but we will wait and see. I think you have the right idea but possibly put down Mizzou instead of OSU as whom should be the favorite.

My point is that if Mizz is the favorite then there is a great chance of this game being a trap but if OSU was favored by 5 then it wouldn't be. Like I said I have no idea what the line is on the game tomorrow but if Mizz is favored or if this game is a PK then everybody in the world will be on OSU. Hopefully we will both cash in tomorrow with the Tigers!!!!!

OK, I see what you are saying..

Lines are up at Pinny and it is currently a Pick'em...I have already played Missouri and may add to it tomorrow if the public hammers OSU and we can grab a point or two.
