Last season was abnormally bad with all the injuries. Had some teams starting guys at QB that shouldn't even be in the league as backups. Or backups at best.....(Savage, Hundley, Simien, Kizer, Cutler, Brissett, Bortles)....Oh wait, the Jags still are starting Blake Bortles!

If this is exciting because there is more scoring, just make the defense play 10. More offense doesn't necessarily equate to entertainment. It is almost impossible to stop the top8 Qbs now with the rules. Unless you got that great pass rsh......forget it

2018 vs 2017? Both flag happy seasons to me
2018 vs 2008 or 1998 or 1988? 2018 is by far the worse.
Penalties have skyrocketed over the decades, and I hate flags, I hate people who never played sports changing the way sports are played. I don't think officials are supposed to be such an integral part of the game, where they're constantly making game changing calls when the alleged penalty had NO influence on the play. I hate inconsistent officiating, and the more subjectivity you bring into the game the more inconsistency you're going to have.
When watching a game now, how many people actually EXPECT a penalty to be called on like every big play? Especially on the defense, especially on third down. It's like nothing is over until the refs chime in.
I grew up loving physical play and in your face defense, now you have to love the flag to love the game.
I don't pay to watch referees calling fouls and looking at replays, it's all so wrong to me

The product on the field this year is slightly worse, as defenses are seemingly becoming even more restricted. We are heading towards 70-point totals.
The one thing that's been nicer about this year is much less commotion about the anthem.

If you like the continued rule changes that cater to the offense, then yes, one would think it's better.
