Is the Golden Age of the Bookie Talk over?

Search
Long gone where the days when this place flourished, where hundreds and hundreds, well, maybe dozens posted....

Where is everyone now?

What happened to them?

Did they lose their jobs?

Did they get tired of the Rx?

Is the Golden Age now over?

Sometimes posting can be a "sensitive" issue at some sportsbooks... I know a friend or two that have had their "posting rights" restricted at a book I know.

I too would like to see more locals posting more topics of interest for all of us that live in Costa Rica. We all have strengths in various fields, let's be liberal with our offshore talk.

Tico, yes, unfortunately books here want us to be as stupid as we can be.....many dont allow clerks to use the internet, and OH MY, GOD FORBID access a site like this that could help them out.

I have always been encourage by my managers to surf the net and forums regarding our industry, it could only makes us better and grow…we can learn from other books and hear what customers have to say, need and want.

Once I gave a small talk or seminar to our customer service team, regarding the industry and sports…it was based on gambling sites and forums plus sports sites. I felt it would help them know what are we in, WHO are we against and WHO; are we dealing with.

All books should let employees know what goes on in the industry and sports in general.

I agree heel, the books should look at the different forums, and watch the rants and raves and do themselves better by not being apart of the raves and rants that are being posted.
