Is the fix in?

Race and sports events that have been fixed remain a thorn in the side of bettors everywhere. The recent incident involving a horse race at Finger Lakes in New York just added to the never-ending speculation that many events remain susceptible to fixing.

As a sportsbettor, this has never concerned me.

Hell, I wager on underdogs 90% of time, so hence I have probably won more fixed games than I have lost.

Undoubtedly there are many events which are fixed each week and we never realize it, but it is there and it is often I believe.

Some say there is no way a star athlete would risk their livelihood to throw a game one way or the other.

Why would a star married athlete get himself in a hotel room with a young girl several hundred miles away and risk getting charged with rape?

Many more why's I can think of. Hard to answer most of them.

You know, really when you think about it, many of these athletes are such cocky shits....

They might throw a game just because a high school buddy had $50 on it. Who knows??

I'm sure it happens, and I've likely profited from it.

A college hoops line drops from 26 to 24 suddenly. I grab a stale 24........and (rightly or wrongly) hope that the fix is in.

if you think that was a fix race you people dont know what you are talking about the guy turned some bad luck into good luock happens everyday that a stable finds some thing wrong with a horses they are they are able to fix ,these people were smart enought to take advantage and put the effort in when they bet they had the best of it but still had to win manythings happen in horse race in my mind this is not a fix but if you pay the bills every month you are entitled to some advantages and once in awhile might get lucky

Why continue to perpetuate the lie that the race in question was fixed and that the stiff books who refuse to pay are somehow justified in using it as an excuse.
