how the fuck does the NTRA let this happen. Everyone is complaining "the sport is dying, purses are too small, handles are dropping etc etc..Well if you actually took the time to televise a big race on the eve before a triple crown race maybe you could draw some new people to the sport.

I am absolutley floored. ESPN has PTI, Around The Gay Horn and Jim "I am so tired of your schtick" Rome. Very disappointed..Can you tell??

Guess I have to watch on my computer screen via xpress..

It can be viewed on HRTV if you have a cable company that provides it. ESPN360.com might cover it as well.

But yeah, ESPN dropped the Preakness undercard stuff recently.

unfortunately, as probably most of us football fanatics on the RX, I have Direct TV so no HRTV just TVG..Even if it was on TVG or HRTV that reaches a 100000th of the viewers of what espn could do or even NBC for that matter. Why not throw it on msnbc for that matter. Just ridiculous.

More people are going to watch Rome or Around the Horn than a race from Pimlico plus the production costs are going to be a lot less. Easy choice for ESPN

Was the volleyball live? I really doubt it costs as much to run an in studio talk fest as it does to broadcast a race that only appeals to a niche audience. What sort of national appeal does a filly race from Pimlico have?
