Is Steve Bartman still alive ???

Do you boys remember this guy? I honestly thought this kid would not make it alive in Crazy Chicago had the Cubs lost. Well, the Cubs lost and it is incredible to believe that this kid is still alive, and I am being honest. I have heard that if the Cubs lose, this kid would not make it alive, but here he is still. Incredible!!.

Here were my odds on this kid back on October 15th of this year.

Those were my lines back then, and even some posters agreed those lines were right. But boy, I must say, I was way off. Does anyone have any update on our old pal, Steve Barfman, and know why he has not been hurt. This kid killed the Chicago Cubs' hopes singlehandedly, and there are a lot of crazy nuts in Chicago who love their cubs. Also, a lot of people bet big money on Cubs, and lost on account of him. People have stopped talking about him completely. Hard to believe that he has been completely forgotten now.

Any updates from anyone in the know about Stevie B? Has his life been one major nightmare since this play, or has he been living normally? Has he been bothered a lot and threatened, or not. If anyone has heard anything about this kid, I'd love to know.

In an ad for its “MLB 12: The Show” video game, Playstation shows a fictitious scene featuring Chicago Cubs fans celebrating the team’s first World Series championship since 1908.

In that scene, there is figure on a rooftop celebrating alone, spawning speculation that the fan is meant to be Steve Bartman. Bartman, who interfered with left fielder Moises Alou as he attempted to catch a foul popup near the stands, is the man blamed for the Cubs’ collapse in the 2003 NLCS.


The creators of the ad told the Chicago Tribune that isn’t the case. However, they admitted they did consider asking Bartman to star in it.

"While that would have been a real mind-blower, it would have made the whole spot about a Bartman gag, rather than being about the true emotion of living out your baseball dreams with our game," said Jason Elm, group creative director of the Deutsch Los Angeles ad agency.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the ad, which begins at a bar with two Cubs fans afraid to watch the last pitch of the World Series and progresses to various celebrations throughout Chicago, was written by a Cubs fan and a Chicago White Sox fan.

I have to give the guy credit for staying on the downlow for so long. That said, he's creating a mystique. 'Being Bartman' is like a retirement account for this guy, and I believe that he can and will cash big time at some point. He's probably waiting for the Cubs to win a series. Not sure if that's ever gonna happen
