The key to what's happening in San Francisco is the Giants hitters were all over Hamels from the start. New All-Star addition Freddy Sanchez has two hits, Velez is tearing up the Phillies pitching at home, the addition of Garko has made the line-up stronger. I'm going to lose this game but the Giants after starting 10 games on the road following the All-Star break and being unable to hit and winning only 3 of 10, now at home are going to go 6-1 on this home stand. Have the best home record and are much stronger with the new additions and there pitching staff. Zito is now pitching much better. He always was a second half pitcher. Taking 3 or 4 from the Phillies and controlling their bats is no small matter. Keep an eye on these Giants.
