I thought it was Fernando Perez, pinch runner used by Tampa a couple games back against Boston. That kid can run faster than the flying Hawaiian.

the werth thing is pretty funny tho no way hes the fastest

I never said Werth was the fastest in the MLB. This thread is named: Is Shane Victorino the fastest player in baseball?, and all I said was he is not even the fastest player on his team. So how could he possibly be the fastest player in the MLB? Werth is faster then Victorino, but I am not saying Werth is the fastest in baseball.

Not much talk here about Willy Taveras but he led the major leagues in stolen bases stealing 68 out of 75 attempts while only playing 124 games. Inumerable infield hits plus many bunt hits. Should definitely be in the conversation.

How fast does brett gardner run?
In: New York Yankees [Edit categories] [Edit]

[Edit]
Very fast! Baseball players are ranked on a 20-80 scale for speed. 20 being slowest and 80 being fastest. Brett Gardner is ranked 80.

Last year when Gardner came up I saw him play and I never saw anyone get from 1st to 2nd any faster. I said holy shit. The Yanks want him in the leadoff spot but he only hit .228 with 13 sb, thrown out once in 42 games. He almost beat out a ground ball to the first baseman. He is having a good spring .379 (11-29) with 3 sb's and has had some pop in his bat. The outfield may be a little crowded but anything is possible including him in AAA. Fantasy players might want to take a look at his cheap price I know I certainly am.
