Orton is an average NFL QB.......I had the pleasure to watch him play a few years in Chicago........He does have a winning record as a starting QB.......but can't throw deep with accuracy if he can throw deep at all. He is what I would call a solid #2 guy......but I see Denver is doing just fine....

McDaniels has to be one of the great QB coaches of all-time(and I am dead serious when I say this). He lead Tom Brady to 50 TD passes(yes they added Moss and Welker that year as well), Matt Cassell to 11 wins(KC won't win 11 times in 2 years with Cassell), and has turned Kyle Orton into a serviceable starting QB. Amazing when you really think about it.

I laughed when a friend of mine said NE losing McDaniels would hurt Brady but it may have a tad. I know it is the inactivity, the knee, and the shoulder(in addition to welker missing time, hurting their chemistry) that is mostly slowing Brady down. However, McDaniels may have been an underrated piece of the puzzle in NE.

(26-12 record as a starter)

Why is the STAT WINS so over looked by so many???

Because lots of bad players win games and lots of good players lose games. Equating a record to a QB the way one mioght for a pitcher's W-L record is really not am especially good barometer. Even with a pitcher it can be deciving, but at least with a pitcher the correlation is usually fairly good. But in football, there are so many other players and variables involved that it just doesn't work, especially over a relatively short span of what amounts to just over 2 seasons. When we get to 7 or 8 years worth of time then the relevancy is more profound. If Orton can keep up a 68% win rate over 100 games then we can start talking. For QB's with 2 years worth of games there are other more important considerations. If Troy Aikman had been judged his first two seasons on his team's W-L he would have been flipping burgers by his third season.

Randy Orton is one of the most under-rated Wrestlers in the WWE. His demeanor and mannerisms as a heel are the top in the industry. Now, compared to a Flair heel, well, he's not close. The competition today just isn't what it was back in the days of the 4 horsemen.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I completely agree here.

Cutler is way better.

Cutler is an over rated crybaby and I doubt that He will ever win a Super Bowl. Best thing the Broncos did was get rid of the crybaby. Getting a new coach was also a touch of genius.

By definition, when enough people say someone is underrated, it is no longer true. . .

Orton is an average at best NFL quarterback. Just about any quarterback in the nfl can win games when your defense is playing the way they are now.
