McDaniels has to be one of the great QB coaches of all-time(and I am dead serious when I say this). He lead Tom Brady to 50 TD passes(yes they added Moss and Welker that year as well), Matt Cassell to 11 wins(KC won't win 11 times in 2 years with Cassell), and has turned Kyle Orton into a serviceable starting QB. Amazing when you really think about it.
I laughed when a friend of mine said NE losing McDaniels would hurt Brady but it may have a tad. I know it is the inactivity, the knee, and the shoulder(in addition to welker missing time, hurting their chemistry) that is mostly slowing Brady down. However, McDaniels may have been an underrated piece of the puzzle in NE.
