he is absolutely everywhere. you watch a football game and you hear his voice. you watch a golf tournament and you hear his voice. you watch an NBA game or a NCAA basketball game, and guess what? you hear his voice! he was in jerry magwuire too, I think. does it ever end?

mike should have the nike deal and all of the attention, not "Lebron".

tirico is a prick! take it from someone who worked with him when he first got to espn. he was a prick then - and from all friends who work there still - he is an even bigger one.

his ego is close to that of john madden.

in reality - he should have been fired some time ago. he had a HUGE problem of sexually harrassing the women there at espn - even though he was married, not that being married has ever stopped the married guys at espn from cheating on their wives (can you say dan patrick and melissa stark?). there were 2 P.A.'s at the time who were in on it with him. both got fired ASAP. why didn't tirico - 2 reasons. he is black (and as few non-white people as there are in that place - if you are anything other than a white male - you are given more leniency - or you used to - when it comes time for breaking the rules) and he is their "golden child."

sorry - but those of us who have ever worked with tirico know how big of an a**hole he really is - and the LESS we see of him - the better!

NBC Sports has named Mike Tirico, a 1988 SU graduate, its play-by-play voice for Thursday Night Football. Tirico, who left ESPN for NBC Sports in July 2016, will team up with Cris Collinsworth, one of the top analysts covering the NFL.

According to Tirico’s bio on the NBC Sports Web site, Thursday Night Football represented primetime television’s No. 2-rated show during the 2016-17 season.
Earlier this year, NBC Sports announced that long-time primetime Olympic host Bob Costas would pass the torch to Tirico, beginning with the PyeongChang, South Korea, winter games.
Since joining NBC Sports, Tirico has called several Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night

Legendary broadcaster Al Michaels will continue to provide play-by-play commentary, alongside Collinsworth, for Sunday Night Football.Football contests, and Notre Dame telecasts, while also serving as host of Football Night in America. He made his Olympic debut last summer at the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, games as a daytime host, as well as the host of the closing ceremony.
Meanwhile, 2005 ‘Cuse grad Jason Benetti has signed a new multi-year agreement with the Chicago White Sox, says an announcement from the MLB team.
Benetti, who became a member of the White Sox TV-broadcasting unit in 2016, will get bigger play-by-play duties during the squad’s 2018 term. Beginning with the 2019 stanza, he will serve as the sole play-by-play commentator.
Per the release, Benetti grew up in the Chicago area as a White Sox fan. He will remain an ESPN announcer in 2018, calling baseball, basketball, football and lacrosse.

From 2010 to 2014, Benetti served as the voice of the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of my hometown Washington Nationals baseball club.
