Is Maryland a trap?

I locked in Maryland last night at -3. I see a lot of -2.5 out there now. Maryland is a public play but I don't think PSU can hang with them. It's at psu but who cares? Am I missing something?

Man if you go back I wanna say every Maryland game has had a fishy line their past 5 games. I'd been on the wrong side every time except this past weekend against Purdue. Fishy lines and Maryland scare me.

It seems a lot like the Mich line. I thought for sure the line would get higher overnight. As far as I can tell there are no injuries or anything. I'm most likely going to let my wager ride with Maryland but more nervous now. Oh, the fun of gambling!

I don't think this is a fishy line. Check out psu at home. Every game seems to be close. Vegas is simply predicting a close game. I could see that. But I think Maryland will pull away late.

I would find it interesting to know why (out-of-conference) games like this are scheduled at this juncture of the season with tournament time right around the corner. With (30) plus games on tap for many college teams that hopefully plan on going deep into tournament play during the month of March, I question the AD's wisdom.

I see a, "We'll show-up and play the game but there'll be no blood-letting effort displayed". Of course the coaching staff will not admit to this degree of output, unless they have a small, deeply hidden "bet" on the game.....ha.

Damn guys, I guess I'm loosing-it (getting too old) ....Maryland (and PSU) now in the Big 10.....I guess I'll never get used to that alignment. I remember watching
a Penn State-Badger football game in Madison back in the fall of 1952 (my freshman year)....PSU was coached by Rip Engel and they were an Independent.

Maryland in the Big-10.....Unbelievable.....

a Penn State-Badger football game in Madison back in the fall of 1952 (my freshman year)....PSU was coached by Rip Engel and they were an Independent.

Yep, like in "very old"....I remember as an (11) year-old listening to the 1945 Chicago Cub-Detroit Tiger World Series on the radio (no TV then). I made my first real (for money) bet back in 1951 when the Yankees beat the New York Giants in (6) games......It was heads-up with a class mate for $5 (It took me a month to collect).....Ha. I've loved the action ever since (still do and for the most part I've held my own......I still own the farm....(ha). I mostly follow you younger guys now days here on the Rx who are on top of modern-day FB & BB (the games have changed during the past 70 years.....boy oh boy, have they ever).

ya know....whether or not it's a trap is moot....there are plenty of other games out there with a players advantage.....no reason to get caught up in the linesmakers, for lack of a better word, shenanigans....lol

Ha! I know what you mean with all this realignment stuff. Rutgers is the one that I constantly mess up. Rutgers and Big 10 is one I just can't compute.
