.......one team with an over .500 record? After looking at their schedule, it had to be the Ravens during the playoffs?

they played seven teams who had a winning record when they played......what happened after that is not the Pats fault........maybe they finished with a losing record because the thrashng the Patriots gave them sent them into a tailspin.....who knows ?
but they made the Superbowl as a number 1 seed.......waddya want ?

Patriots had 7 wins against teams that finished exactly at 8-8.

Jets (twice)
Denver
San Diego
Oakland
Dallas
Philadelphia

Take away their loss(es) to New England and each of those teams had winning records.

alright they played these

9-18 v SD 1/0 minus 6.5 W 35-21
9-25 @ Buff 2/0 minus 7 L 34-31
10-02 @ Oak 2/1 minus 6 W 31-19
10-30 @Pitt 5/2 minus 3 L 17-25
11-13 @ NYJ 5/3 minus 2.5 W 37-16
12-18 @ Den 8/6 minus 7 W 41-23
1-14 v Den 9/8 minus 14 W 45-10

When they played em they had a winning record........that's what counts.......not anything that happened later

Sorry that is the worst logical reasoning I have heard. That is like in CFB teams that rave we beat them when they were #4 in the country!!! Never mind it was week 2 and that team goes on to lose 5 straight and finish 6-6 in the Motor City Bowl. So Buffalo was 2-0 when NE played them and that is all that matters??? If the Lions and Patriots traded places the Lions would be in the Superbowl repping the AFC and the Patriots would have been knocked out of the wildcard round on the road. You cannot convince me that if any of the NFC playoff teams had the Pats schedule and easy playoff road to the SB they would not be there also.

Not sure how much that matters, one way or the other. If it was 3 teams or 4 teams, do you change your bet? A lot of the regular season stuff was months ago. With injuries factoring big. Injuries like Wilfort. Having him in there to jam the middle is huge.

Gotta focus on the stuff that matters today.

Ne, gb, sf?

A banged up GB team that had a 3 week layoff, and a SF team that gift wrapped a win.

Not much difference using the who did they beat argument.

Who did NYG beat this season??

Packers, Falcons, 49er's when it counted for starters.
Did you know the Giants strength of schedule was #2?

Second toughest strength of schedule in the NFL

Thanks for playing though

The Falcons are a shit team outdoors.
GB was banged up and on a layoff.
The SF win was gift wrapped.

You're a real fucking genius. Thanks for playing
