You're missing the actual point:

When you sink 45% of your cap into your "franchise QB" + two superstar WRs, the whole justification is that the offense should overcome whatever roster flaws exist. Otherwise the cap math is pointless.

And even before the big contracts - when Ja'Marr and Tee were on rookie deals and were already the best WR duo in the NFL - that was the window Burrow had to cash in on.

He didn't. In fact, the Bengals didn't even make the playoffs half the time!

And now whatever make-believe "window" you thought existed is permanently closed.

Maybe the Bengals should just cut their losses, dump Burrow, and sign Joe Flacco or Philip Rivers next season.

Whatever "draft deficiencies" Avo nitpicks about the Bengals (endless excuses for Burrow) it's definitely not on offense. If anything, it makes the whole "Burrow vs. Anyone" debate look even more embarrassing.

Allen had to put on his cape to rally, but the final score flattered Burrow.
Flip the receiving corps and Allen drops 45-50+ on Burrow without breaking a sweat - and everyone knows it.
