Is it profitable to bet on soccer?

As a soccer fan, I was just curious to know if you guys or girls here are making any profit betting on soccer? I know betting is not always profitable, but the odds are favorable. I played soccer and follow the games but have never bet on it because I think it is harder to predict the outcome of the game than other sports. What's your opinion? and if i do start, who should i follow from here?

i think in the long-run, at times u believe it is profitable and at other times, that it is the worst thing ever lol

im only young but i think u should bet on it, as u said u follow it so u no a thing or two on it.

i think, follow teams like chelsea, inter milan, NOT MAN UTD (just dont, i like them, but dont bet on them at the moment lol) and with the top clubs, dont bet on them when their at home, cos lower teams obviously go there, play ultra defensive and go there to draw. however, when top teams for example chelsea, travel to lower clubs e.g WBA, hull (going good but for example), Stoke etc, those lower teams play more offensive for their fans, resulting in the top clubs gettin more oppotunites hence chelsea's impressive 11 STRAIGHT AWAY WINS!!!! lol

follow that and ur own knowledge and hopefully it will be profitable 4 u mat

blackjack, I'd only recommend soccer betting if you are willing to invest the time to learn 1-2 leagues inside and out. You won't make money just blindly betting other's picks but if you really learn a league or two you can do much better than betting us sports.

I think it can be very profitable. Tail roll tide, or 18677 (sorry if the #'s are wrong), most of the guys that post here are sharp (E.T., Brainiac, june jones) sorry if I missed anybody, but the guys here are good.

Again, I doubt I will be able to post 80% forever, so might be good fade material.

If you bet $100 on all of them, (some you would have to risk -170, -165, -155, -145, and -135) but have hit some biggies also (+300,+240, +235).

you would be +$1250 on 12 bets isn't too bad.

I Only cover Foots in Italy, and if it involves Italian Teams, Either in CL and etc Comp's, if its Italian? I probably heard something more than most!

But i bury myself in it, I watch 4 sometimes up to 5 Of the 10 fixtures each week on Goltv and FSC combined, so i get atleast 4 and most often i can catch a 5th or even a 6th from a mid week replay, so it helps TO WATCH THE GAMES!! And Listen And Learn!!


I suggest Tracking yourself, and WATCHING, and Personal Scouting from what YOU see, not what SOMEONE ELSE SAID!!

there is always big upsets .you need to know it when it right to pick the under dog.. here is a good tip Italian play not lose ties always better than a loss same in the french league ..but in the EPL they play to win they rather to press on the attack which some times cost to a big upset..also consider rival and derby mach up.

I like to take underdogs +0.5 so that you have 2 of the 3 possible options (draw and win) covered giving you a 66.6% chance of winning the wager. In soccer with draws so prominent (I think they happen like 20% of the time from what I heard) if you just take a team to win not protecting your ass from the draw you are only covering 1 of the 3 possible outcomes leaving you with a 33.3% chance of winning which is garbage odds. Soccer is profitable?

Yes, it's profitable but American Sports are more profitable in my opinion!

When I first started betting, soccer betting was main focus (I'm living in Europe). Then I discovered American Sports and I noticed that they're MORE profitable. Why?

Since soccer is the most popular sport on planet, everybody is betting on it! It's very hard to find value bets.

Odds are usually crap. It's not easy to find -110 (1,91) odds all the time.

Odds for favs are usually low. You can't make money on the long run if you're betting Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Münich etc. Odds will be usually -500, sometimes -1000.

So how to win in Soccer?

1. Focus on UNDER/OVER bets. Netherlands Casino Eredivisie League is great for OVER bets. Greece is nice for UNDER bets.

2. Never bet below -200!

3. In fact, I'm not a big fan of parlays. I always play single. However, in soccer 2-team parlays works very good. Never play 3-game parlays. Always play single or 2-teamer parlay.

4. "Both team to score" and "X team to keep clean sheet" are very clever bets. Use them!

5. These leagues are the most hard leagues: Italia Serie A, France Le Ligue, Germany Bundesliga and Brazil. Don't focus on these leagues..


Why I think American Sports are more profitable? Because there's no math in soccer. Right, you can have an edge in American Sports if you're good with numbers. Stats, Math is really helpful in American Sports and you can found many trends/systems but there's no Math in soccer.

finding a good book for soccer is a must.draws are common like chelsea yesterday and can destroy a bankroll.I use punters lounge for alot of info on games and google "hot tips betting",a pretty good uk site for consensus type picks.bbc has alot of premier predictions on saturday and weekends,its at bbc sport.

i love this game more than anyother game in the world, but the NFL, and even the NBA can be more profitable

Id say for the most part nobody likes to bet draws...and nobody likes to bet the under. but the reality is, in football goals are huge. and if one team wants to D up sometimes thats what u get a 0-0 or a 1-1.

draws happen enough that i take them occasionally, especially in 2 leg games, they are profitable because they are more than often +200 or more, but on the other hand if we didnt have draws and went into overtime periods, there be more wins on this side i know that much
