Pre season rankings, most of them have the big 10 as 5th or some even 6th in the nation behind the SEC, Big 12, ACC and Pac-10, some even rank the Mountain West ahead of them....
The only 2 teams that are reallly expected to make any noise are Ohio State and Penn State...Iowa is getting some votes in the preseason polls for top 25, but their schedule is brutal this year...they'll lose at least 3-4 games, which means no major bowl for them...
Michigan is still down, Mich St. always comes out strong and fades, IU sadly will probably be bad as usual, Purdue is down, Wicsonsin doesnt have the talent they have had in the past decade..
So it could sure be another bad year for the Big 10.....
alot of their credibility will be decided early on, when USC comes to the "shoe" in Columbus....If the Buckeyes could manage to win that game, then the trickle down effect could help the Big 10, but lose it, and it could be another long year.....
