Pre season rankings, most of them have the big 10 as 5th or some even 6th in the nation behind the SEC, Big 12, ACC and Pac-10, some even rank the Mountain West ahead of them....

The only 2 teams that are reallly expected to make any noise are Ohio State and Penn State...Iowa is getting some votes in the preseason polls for top 25, but their schedule is brutal this year...they'll lose at least 3-4 games, which means no major bowl for them...

Michigan is still down, Mich St. always comes out strong and fades, IU sadly will probably be bad as usual, Purdue is down, Wicsonsin doesnt have the talent they have had in the past decade..

So it could sure be another bad year for the Big 10.....

alot of their credibility will be decided early on, when USC comes to the "shoe" in Columbus....If the Buckeyes could manage to win that game, then the trickle down effect could help the Big 10, but lose it, and it could be another long year.....

If Ohio St. can pull off the upset against USC maybe that will give them the momentum to carry them to a BCS season.

That's a big IF.

Big 10 fared well in the opening weekend, however, it was against less than stellar competition, but the teams that were supposed to win, won.....

Illinois was the only one to really suffer a surprise beating....

well i had mizzou + the points as well, but i sure didnt expect them to beat down Illinois like they did......Illinois does have talent on that team....

Ohio State barely won, and it could get ugly this week if they play as erratic as they did this week....we could see another 35-10 type game

could ??

Losing 35-10 would be a good result for OSU, I expect USC to put up 50 the way navy moved the ball.

PSU fans should experience hours and hours of thrills as their club walks all over Temple, Eastern Illinois, Indiana and Syracuse

Could be worse...Could be the ACC (or as some refer to it as: the A She She) !!!!

Lost 6 games this past weekend. Two to FBS opponents!!!! That does not bode well for the upcoming season...

Wins by Michigan, Ohio State, and/or Purdue next week would do wonders for the national image of the Big Ten.

I will be on the other side in every single one of those games haha.

As an OSU homer, you have to roll with USC here, butI like UM over ND.

It looks like Iowa will be getting one, and possibly both of their probable all Big Ten OL back this week....CALLOWAY and VANDERVELDE.

I think Michigan could turn out to be the most underrated team in the conference preseaon, and it appears Illiniois will have been the most overrated.

The BIG TEN is a great conference and the BIG TEN Network is awesome!!!
