I think Futures can be a Money maker, and also give the regular ... small gambler a chance to root for something through out a Season.

Of course most Books will limit these Futures, but since it's a nice wager IMHO.

On the Flip side, Betting on Daily games will give that Action junkie what they are looking for.

I would say it depends on your goal.

If your goal is to make a decent supplemental income you would need to bet daily games.

If you are just looking for some value and want a reason to pull for a team throughout the season, tourny, etc, futures are the way to go.

I see no reason why you can't do a little bit of both.

If someones reason for gambling is because they are an action junkie they shouldn't be gambling.

Injury factor makes futures unpredictable for serious money. Betting with unknown variables looming is foolish.

I would say 70% of gamblers are action junkies! and include yourself.

I only bet futures now. I'm done with off-shore. I went to Vegas before baseball season & they had props of team vs team to have 30 wins 1st. Then I took all teams for total wins. Also took some player props. Also in fantasy baseball. I don't miss the headache from off- shore. I'm only a 3 hour drive from Vegas. Going the 2nd week in July for football. Off- shore takes ur money in 10
minutes & then u have to wait a month for ur money. No mo for me.

I've never placed one future bet in my life. Takes too long for my taste. Soumi

I still think it's a good wager.

I've placed a few just for kicks and something to argue with my friends about

If you think a certain team is underrated going into a season or postseason, it makes more sense to take the future as opposed to waiting for "everyone else" to catch up.

Also it smooths out the variance, especially in a sport like baseball.

Im sure it's a good wager. I think the main reason I've never placed one is because I don't want my money to be tied up that long.

I could see myself placing one at end of reg season on who wins championship, title whatever before placing one on o/u wins on a baseball team. That's like watching grass grow.

Last year I made my 1st ever future bets, I took Denver and Seattle over total wins and they were both winners,
but what I didn't know was you have to wait until end of year to get paid. I thought they would credit my balance
when that team had won that amount of games but they didn't. The book was BM I don't know if all books have
same rules or not.

Yea, they do!

Just like an "over" bet on a sporting event..... or any sort of wager. The event (situation) has to be complete before they grade it and pay it off.

I liked wager on the Play off results by series. Most times i get home from work to late to get action on games so knowing a need one side keeps me in the game

So many bettors don't like tying their money up for months with future bets.

But in my opinion, a good bet is a good bet, value is value, and if you really like a wager, then lay it.

I think this is the breakdown of 2 different types of bettors:

Bettor A: The true sports-bettor who will wager on anything they consider a good bet or value
Bettor B: The sports-bettor who is less patient and more of a casino player, who likes instant results

If you have the bankroll and are playing futures year around on every sport, it never seems like your money is being tied up for along time because your usually cashing tickets from every sport year around.. You should buy futures when you get good value no matter what time of year it is...I would buy stocks at good value to no matter if I had to hold onto them also.... same principal

futures can be nice as there are often many opportunities to hedge throughout the year, but I too like looking for opportunities more frequently

5 Dimes would credit some early, why not? I they figure there is a good chance you will lose it back.

Love futures. Good money to be made even at the lower limits.
