Halloween is All Hallow's Eve. The day before All Saint's Day. The day when the veil between the material and the spirit realms is the thinnest.

May Day - Beltane
Christmas - Saturnalia (winter solstice celebration)
Easter - look up Ostara (spring equinox celebration) Astarte/Isis

Hell, even Ground Hog's Day is Imbolc
