Is GA a blowout or sucker bet?

The talent level of GA far surpasses Vanderbilt. While I don't want to take anything away from Vandy, the stats speak for themselves. They are tops in turnovers but bottom in offense and not very good on defense. The stats for the lose to Miss St shows they aren't very good. Now they have to play an underrated GA team in GA.

The only arguement I can see for not playing the Bulldogs is that they may overlook Vandy, a very opportunistic team, with a game @LSU next week.

With the opportunity to buy down to 14, can someone tell me why I shouldn't take GA?

Sorry but UGA is not to be associated as 'underrated' this year. 14 or less sounds fair though

Your right. Underrated is not correct. Underachieving is more like it. With that said, they have the talent to blow out Vandy and I don't see why they don't turn it on tomorrow. Richt is the type of coach to push the right buttons at the right time which is why I see this underachieving team not taking Vandy lightly.

So before I throw my money away, someone talk me out of this one!

Okay - GA has LSU and Florida on deck. Forget it. Taking GA would be suicide.

So I guess the question now remains...is GA a sucker bet?

Vandy has yet to face a team with an offense. This is like LSU vs Florida from a week ago. A team finds ways to win when their QB's can just protect the ball and let the defense win the games. That changes when you face a team like Florida or Georgia.

I usually would agree here but teams really dont look ahead when they cant afford to lose the one thats coming up. If georgia looses here theyll be out of the championship picture. So theyll play vandy like its the deciding game.

This is a really bad match up for Vanderbilt. They have zero passing game (116th in the nation with less then 100 ypg) and rely almost exclusively on running it. Georgia is only giving up 52 ypg on the ground, and last week only gave ONE yard rushing to Tennessee (who has a better OL then Vandy).

I know yards gained is not the best statistic but Vanderbilt is dead last in the SEC and 117th in the nation in offense with 250 yards per game. Georgia on the other hand is leading the SEC with 430 ypg.

With Georgia having such a solid D and Vandy an inept offense at best, I can't see a reason why this game will ever be in question.

GA down to their 4th string left tackle. That's cause for concern in and of itself.

Think GA wins, and hope they win convincingly.

Me too, D. This game is a big one for me.

Good luck.:toast:

The only sucker bet in this game is if you take Vandy. They purposely set it high enough so that a good number of people would take Vandy.
