Is football like baseball where they can change the scoring after the fact?

How they called that Bruschi play a fumble instead of an interception is beyond me. The receiver never had full possesion, that's why Ted was able to get the ball away!

In football do they ever change the scoring after looking at it.....in baseball it sometimes can happenn AFTER the game is finshed.

and yes I had the first turnover to be an int.....

I think they can change it...I doubt they change that call though...do you need it changed for some prop Sherm?

I thought it was correctly a fumble. Receiver caught it, took a couple steps then Bruschi just ripped it away. It's a catch and a fumble, doesn't have to hit the ground to be a fumble.

I would rule that an INT as Ted just ripped it from him before he even fully had it in his hands.

Call me crazy but I am having a hard time letting this go....

I see NO WAY how that play was an fumble.....

I tried to find the rules, but all I could find was this:

#2 says after the ball hits the ground as if it has to hit the ground to be a fumble....I didn't thin that was the case but to me the receiver never had posseision of the ball making it a interception!

Fumble

1. The distinction between a fumble and a muff should be kept in mind in considering rules about fumbles. A fumble is the loss of player possession of the ball. A muff is the touching of a loose ball by a player in an unsuccessful attempt to obtain possession.

2. A fumble may be advanced by any player on either team regardless of whether recovered before or after ball hits the ground.

3. A fumble that goes forward and out of bounds will return to the fumbling team at the spot of the fumble unless the ball goes out of bounds in the opponent’s end zone. In this case, it is a touchback.

4. On a play from scrimmage, if an offensive player fumbles anywhere on the field during fourth down, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If any player fumbles after the two-minute warning in a half, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If recovered by any other offensive player, the ball is dead at the spot of the fumble unless it is recovered behind the spot of the fumble. In that case, the ball is dead at the spot of recovery. Any defensive player may recover and/or advance any fumble at any time. 5. A muffed hand-to-hand snap from center is treated as a fumble.

When a bal is stripped away in that fashion its almost always called a fumble...

im not sure what "almost always" means? whatever they feel like that day?

i do understand what u are saying though journey, but to me it seemed as though he never had possesion, so it would be an INT.......

am i being biased here?
