I don't like the word trap, but it is the kind of line -- short road dog, public pounding one side but line stays firms or moves the wrong way etc... -- that lends itself on playing the dog, for sure
The book has been killing it with these kind of games. Last week Philly and Buffalo were the other end of "traps" and cashed. But, B-more and oakland covered as short road dogs, too (but not quite as much public money on those too).
Probably TB or no play for me.
I know what you mean about the word trap...this is the kind of game where Tampa comes to play and Denver has a letdown.
However, the talent level isn't really close at all especially on defense. If the Bronco's want this game bad enough then I think they win easiily. Therefore, I cautiously have to go with Denver.
There are games every week that we say looks to easy or is a trap. Last week everyone was saying that about the Dallas Chicago game. Sometimes we just over think it.
Denver -3, large
If you evaluate the game on Xs and Os it Denver seems like the choice. But sometimes Xs and 0s are less persuasive than studying line movements, public consensus and historical trends. After all, on Xs and Os, Buffalo should've been killed last week.
