if you do i think you are out of your mind...its either the astros or lay off this game, cards have shown nothing that says they will win this game, its gonna be electric in houston tomorrow.

having said that, are the cards gonna let their fans not see 1 last game in st. louis at busch stadium?

if you are gonna take the cards as a fav tomorrow i would suggest another option...you can get cards +444 at pinnicle right now to win the series...

again, tomorrow night the play should be on houston or no play, or small on stl to win the series!! jmo, good luck!!

Wonder what the post would have been last year after the BoSox lost game 3 18-6........After that I learned to never say never......especially in baseball

I think the Cards have a good chance to win this thing still.........it all depends on Cris Carpenter and his Cy young form.......if he gets the Cards back to StLouis......anything can happen.......

It's all on the shoulders of Carpenter. This offense needs to get going. They have looked old, slow, and just plain sick. Part of that has been the Houston pitching and part of that is because they are old, slow, and sick. I agree tonight is a huge game for both teams. If St. Louis can win and go back home anything can happen from here on out. Is St. Louis that clutch?

I have lost ALL confindence in the Cards. Said last week that I had quite bases for the year after the Braves meltdown in game 4. I lied, tried the Cards yesterday thinking they would get to Bauke. WRONG!!! Still thought they would have at least tied it up in the ninth. I would have pitch hit for Sanders, those numbers were too ulgy against Lidge. Plus RUN FASTER Mabry. Really done with bases NOW.

Cards are facing Houston crowd tonight, tough pitcher and team, injuries, umpires, etc but I like I said in my own thread, there will be a game on Wednesday in STL. If Astros don't win tonight, I will tell you they won't win this series.

i would say they have a slim chance at best, with having to sweep pettitte, oswalt,
and clemens.

gopherbob,

We have already done what you say we have slim chance to do. Already proved it. If Astros don't win tonight and they won't, they won't win again in STL.!

I remember just a few years ago the Florida Marlins were playing the Chicago Cubs in the playoffs(the Cubs had homefield). I of course had the Cubs for the series for a nice sum. Anyway, the Cubs were up 3-2 and had Wood and Prior left to pitch at home against the Marlins. Seems pretty easy. Well that freakin Cubs fan interfered with the play and the Marlins beat both Wood and Prior and went on to the World Series and beat the Yankees.
Sure it is not likely it will happen but it has happened before.

The Astros are -490 to win the series. Is that not the lowest $ you have seen? The Astros are still not getting respect. If the Cardinals were up 3-1 right now, what would the $ be to win the series? -1500 or higher?

rawpimple,

It is not disrespecting the Stros but saying that this series is far from over. These 2 games in Houston have been dead even as Stros are hitting worse with runners in scoring position than Cards. I expect big performances tonight from Pujols,Edmonds, and Walker and expect it to be easier than many think. Way game was won for stros yesterday will serve as a springboard for Cards. Stros better get it done tonight or they won't get it done imo and I don't think they will get it done!

the cardinals during the regular season are much different than the playoff cardinals. when the regular season cardinals have 1st and 3rd with no outs,
at least one run will score, probably more, but when the post season cardinals are in the same situation, expect weak ground balls and double plays.

Gopher Bob,
Last Time I Checked Astros Have Choked Everytime They Have Been In Postseason And In This Position. Had Chance Ly Lost. All Those Teams In 90's Lost. Even Teams In 80's Lost In This Position. It Will Be A Challenge But Cards Will Be Up To It. After Game, Cards Were Loose And Confident Down 3-1. I Predict Here Comes The Thunder. Predictions For Games 5,6, And 7.

Cardinals 14-0
Cardinals 3-1
Cardinals 15-0

Look Familiar? Same 5,6,and 7 Scores From Stl/atlanta In 96 But Cards Doing The Damage. Lol But Think We Get It Done.

after watching yesterday's game, it seems the cards are beating themselves (costly errors, leaving men in scoring position, etc) something they didn't do during the regular season. can they turn it around ? the talant is definately there, but we'll see if the "heart" is.
