I hadn't looked at the game, so had no idea WTF the message was talking about until I turned on the game.
Really dumb decision by DB, no doubt about that (unless the staff was looking for the MONSTER middle opp).

Yes, everyone was confused...even Sportsline.com. I posted this in another thread, but...
The game story on the Hula Bowl at Sportsline.com has Aina winning 26-7, but linescore on the same page has Kai winning 26-7. Not even people at the game knew which was which

The speedy, 5-foot-8 back carried the ball eight times, including scoring runs of 12 and 35 yards, and was selected Aina's most valuable player.
The college All-Star Game featured 96 seniors and was played on an 81-degree day in front of 9,128 fans at War Memorial Stadium on Maui.
Aina, which means "land" in Hawaiian, was led by Ohio State coach Jim Tressel. Kai, which means "ocean," was coached by Maryland's Ralph Friedgen.
Both coaches had floral leis and were appropriately dressed in Hawaiian shirts and shorts.
Aina built a 16-0 lead and went into halftime with a 19-7 advantage behind the play of Central Florida's Ryan Schneider.

Kai means "ocean"...Aina means "land"...neither has anything to do with North or South. In fact, if you look over the rosters, you'll see players from the same colleges on opposite teams. And Jeff Smoker is just one of many examples of northern players on the "South" team, and visa versa. This should never have been listed as North/South (or East/West), and an earlier post from Don Best Sports said they won't do that in the future.
