I placed 2 two team parlays with USA Women's Soccer team on both parlays. My 2nd team on the parlays were Germany and China. All games were listed as going off today. When i was trying to get an update on the germany game, none was to be found.

When i did some checking around, i found out that Germany and China don't play till thursday, i called and told them about it. They argued with me for awhile. After about 10 minutes on the line they finally agreed with me. I asked if they could give me a straight wager on both parlays using the USA game being played today since i wanted to make a larger wager on the Oakland game, which does not start untill after the soccer game is over.

Bottom line is they offered to cancel my parlays knowing that the USA was up 1-0 over Norway at the time.

How generous of them. Were they trying to screw me. Maybe, maybe not. I wonder how they would feel if i called and asked them to cancel my parlays if the USA ties or loses the game or if theUSA waslosing, would they have offered to cancel my wagers?

My point is the books don't always look out for the players best interest, and you can't be sure of the time and date a game will go off.

Maybe it speaks more about ABC than other books. I told them what they could do with thier cancellation offer.

So basically the first half of your bet is winning so you'd like to cancel the 2nd part. You've got to be kiddin right?

Tex, re-read your post. You played 2 two team parlays and the first game is winning and you want them to cancel the later half and give you two straight up bets on a game that is winning. No book in their right mind would do that. The onus falls on you to research the games you are betting and the times and dates they are being played.

Bullshit, almost every book i've played in may have an incorrect time but not an incorrect date. If if i can't rely on them for that info then i am playing in the wrong book.

My point is they could have just said no, we can't change them to straight wagers. Instead they offered to cancel the wagers knowing that the USA was up at the time.

Doesn't matter if the team you had is winning or losing you had action on the game..and its halftime (meaning the gm is in progress)

They can do anything they want with your wager IF they want to. They offered to cancel it. It was thier mistake not mine. And no it is not halftime, the game is over. I'm sure they would still offer to cancel right now.

BigTex-

Once any game as part of the parlay has started, no changes should be made. A mistake in the game time/date doesn't give you the right to split the bet, especially once any of the events has begun. If the error had be discovered BEFORE the first game started, then the split you suggest would be reasonable (unless a major line change had occurred).

As a matter of policy, a mistake on the dates should really invalidate the entire play (i.e. cancel the bet, as the book suggested).

Offering to cancel the bet was probably their way of telling you to f--- off for making such an assine request.
