hey guys I have really screw myself up. I have been pro gammlin for about 6 years now and have let filing a tax return just slip by year after year. then my worst nightmare i start gettin letters from unca sam, wanting some mulah. i been hitin some jackpots on slots, horse racin, and video poker royals in vegas and missisiippi .

anyone know of a good person they can refer me to for help on a IRS problem in vegas. i tried one on my own and they just kept hosin me for more $$$ and never even filed on my behalf.

also when and why would u need a tax attorney instead of just a CPA to file ?

i figure others here may have seen this or been thru it like me. all help and suggestions appreciated.

that is totally amazing you picked them. They are the ones that gave me the oh don't worry we love helping gammbla's in your situation, send us a retainer.

i filled out some papers they said they would get it taken care of. Then the excuses started, their hard drive was down, call back next week. then, Busy with big clients paying full price, get back to us. Then your case is more difficult than i thought , get back to us. then the gal working on my case got sick for weeks. then they called me after i had paid the agreed price, saying i owed them more.

one thing after another and never seeing anything done - stay far away from rbstaxes, i regret the day i saw there ads in card player magazine. they talk a good line but no action. scam.

i called an attorney this week who advise me to fire them - they will never solve your problem and find a quality professional. so i decided to see if any other gammlers here had crossed this path before me.

deal & negotiate with Uncle Sam yourself...no problemo...

best way...

underexagerate your winnings just like a waitress would do.....

If there are documented Jackpots you have hit then you will have to suck it up & pay the Tax...

Thank God....I live up here in Canada...

I don't have personal experience with them, they were just recommended to me. I will have to take your tale into account if I deal with them in the future. Thanks for the heads up. Hope you get it resolved.

If YoYo has kept records of winnings and losses, it should be easy for any tax place to do the taxes. IMO They can even figure the late payment penalties and interest due the gov.

I don't know if "negotiating" with the IRS will have any chance, since he didn't file at all.

Are you saying that you hit jackpots and signed W-2's for gambling winnings when you reieved the winnings and then didn't file any return at all? That would be beyond unthinkable.

Oh, and 10% is enough for Jesus because he's a dead guy and doesn't have to spend to protect a nation of 250 million; Uncle Sam does.

D2bets said what I was thinking but did'nt say. You are like the people who blow off paying speeding tickets or parking fines. How well did you sleep all those years knowing that this day would come?

Here's my advice: Pay what you owe. If you delay any longer you can bet the IRS will come down hard on you.
