i know ya love to read about LOCKs..well here is mine. I only give these out once a year or so. I am 15-0 on these big 5UNIT, $10,000 plays ! Right Panther ?

My LOCK of this Year is Auburn to cover against 'Bama tomorrow night. I'll be at the game, so wish us luck !!

Once again, my 5UNIT, $10,000 Lock of the Year:

Auburn -8 ( i got it for -7 from my local person earlier in the week )

Auburn is the superior team in every category and the Tigers are extremely PISSED right now. My sources say practice has gone great this week. Alabama will be lucky to score in this one. Prediction:

AU 31

Bama 13

i was really being somewhat facetious when posting my "lock" pick... i know full well how they are viewed here by u guys.

The most important thing is that we WON the game.. and I didn't lose any $$ cuz I had Auburn big in the 1st half, too...

LadyO, with all due respect, it doesn't work that way.

You posted a lock, it lost, the 'rules' are you are not allowed to come back and say you had the first half big so you didn't lose because of that. You were dead wrong on the pick, and you're now 15-1 (lol). The most important thing is not that Auburn won the game, certainly not to anyone who actually was crazy enough to put cash on this pick (meaning, just because you posted it), and certainly NO ONE would care that you made out okay for yourself when THEY lost. If the first half was such a great play, then WHY didn't you post it as a companion play? In other words, if you broke even, that means you put as much money on it as you did your (admittedly) facetious 'Lock of the Year', so why wasn't that bet worthy of mention?

I don't bet straight-up any longer (well, once in a blue moon but haven't had any of those lately!) so these are just observations.
