Our next step is to break OPEC.This will assure low prices and plentiful supply.

The next step would to become less dependant on oil.No one knows how much there is left in the earth. Some day it will run out. There is not an endless supply. We have the technology to wean ourselves off of it,but we are doing nothing.

somehow i believe somebody, somewhere has some very good ideas on an alternate energy source....the big oil corporations have so much juice,i doubt anyone anywhere has enough resources or will to topple this monopoly....and that`s a horrible fact....and yes my liberal friends,i agree with you on that(but,if oil were obsolete, what would become of the middle east?....i shudder to think).......but,thems the facts....

now, welcome to iraq...our 51st state.....all the oil and sand we`ll ever need....i`m gonna buy my old lady a burka.... and get myself a fez(maybe we can grab turkey, too) to honor our new friends and citizens.....

i wish them well...welcome to the 21st century....i think you`ll like it...glad to have you aboard....

Is there a star for Germany, Italy or Japan?

or kuwait.....you know,we should have just taken their oil...it would have been alot easier than iraq.....this is all about oil....isn`t it?.....i mean that makes sense....for a country to go halfway around the world and fight a war with the 9th largest supplier of american oil....rather than just drill in alaska....wouldn`t want to disturb the wildlife.......wmd`s,dictatorships,murder,the destruction of israel, oppression, invasion of 2 neighboring countries, ecological disaster when setting fire to kuwaiti oil fields..17 u.n. resolutions....all peripheral reasons....who do we think we`re fooling....those americans are so impulsive...

Actually Judge..... GM has a multibillion dollar commitment to hydrogen powered vehicles.
They are good to go right now but it will take 10 years to put them into mass production and set up the network of recharging stations that the Oil companies try to impede and eventually horn in on

its amazing how uneducated the " war for oil" people are.

if the US wanted cheaper oil, all we would have to have done was remove the economic sanctions on Iraq which set severe limitations on how much oil they can sell. Sure, Saddam would have used the massive extra funds to fund anti-american terrorism and to tighten his maniacal grip on power, but the US would look like good guys in the Arab world for " helping the Iraqi people".

But, the current US president actually leads and takes the action of removing the mass murderer who kills his own people at will. Cheap oil could have been painlessly gained with no war. This is not about oil, those who try to proclaim that are the dumbest, stupidest most incredibly asine on the planet.

As much as I disagreee with grantt I have not heard him make such an unreasonable argument.

Was that before or after they backed the coup of democratically elected leaders? Oh wait that was allende in the late 70s..

We're all about democracy. RIGHT.

This war may not be for oil, but if you think it's about democracy you're an even bigger retard.
