Wrong on both accounts.

It is mearly speculation that N. Korea has the means for an icbm missle capable of reaching the west coast, let alone the ability to arm it with a nuclear warhead. They have provided no proof regarding this specific ability, nor do we have any.

And IF by chance, N. Korea WERE to even attempt this, even Kim Jong realizes his small nation would CEASE to EXIST. Nothing would be left after our retalitary strike.


Saddam on the other hand, HAS proved his scud's can reach Israel. What the payload might be, can be argued.

Our Government has acknowledged that N Korea can reach the USA with Nulear Weapons. And, i guess you are right about the payload, but i doubt he will do any serious damage with his bottle rockets.

Hate to split hairs here General, but every credible source that I've read regarding the Taepodong-2 missile, has always used " could reach ".......not " can reach "

To me that is a huge difference in politcal speak.


Im going to research this more. If memory serves me, I believe it would take almost 3 days for N. Korea to arm, fuel and ready the Taep'o-dong 2, IF and when it becomes functional. We have no proof of there even being a functional weapon built yet.

 

I do not remember the name of the player, but he was sitting in front of congress and they asked him if NK had a weapon to reach the US and he turned to his advisors, and asked, then turned back to the officials and said yes. This was about a month ago & it was the first the we had said this openly according to reports.
