Ipod vs Dell player

My wife wants a new music player and i am stymied. Is one any better. The dell holds twice as much and they say it is more compatible to more carriers for downloading. I am not that familiar so need some insight on the homefront. She has a lot of cd!s and wants to download about 1000 of the songs from there. possible?,and if so does one work any better?I know the ipod is more popular, but is it better. Thanks Buddym

Not even close. Any version of the Ipod kills the Dell. Every PC I have is dell so I tried the dell player and sent it back after seeing my neighbor's ipod. IPOD could do better with the earphones though.

Appreciate the quick comeback Johnny Demarco. I am going out today to get one, since her birthday is tuesday and i am playing Golf that day. I also have a dell notebook and am very happy but am not that familiar with the music players. I thought the added capacity was a good sell, but i am sure you are right. Thanks Buddym

I should of also added to make sure you get one with a docking station. The 20GB one for 299 is a decent deal at the Apple store. I got a 40gb one and I will never use that much space. I have maybe 800 songs on it and holds like 20-30k.

Speakin about ipods, there is this site I just found a couple of days ago called freeipods.com. I looked it up on google and from what people have said, it looks legit. To get a free ipod you have to subscribe to something or buy something online. I bought the video professor for $7. There are some other offers that you may actually like, some seem ok.

After you buy something you have to refer 5 others to also subscribe to something. Then after this process is completed you should get your free ipod.
