Can someone tell me why the Mich St. line was -9.5 and is now -6.5? I kinda liked Mich St. at -9.5, but i'm guessing there is an injury i'm not aware of or something.

Does anyone see MSU having a problem beating this number?

His name is Dr. Bob...and Iowa is a 4* play for him.

um, thanks, but that doesn't help me...does someone want to tell me WHY the line moved or WHY they think either Mich st. or Iowa will cover.

Iowa is a good pick this weekend. Their offense is every bit as good as Michigan State's but they have made errors at critical times that brought their points scored down in a big way. Iowa's offense might actually be better.

Defensively it's pretty close but both teams can score here. I'd look for a high-scoring, even matchup.

I wish he wouldnt put out his play until late Saturday.........he has cost me points in two games that I like this week already........last week I got them in before he moved the damn line.......I still think Iowa is the right side but some value is gone since it has dropped below 7.

There is no way this game goes over 46.5

Just booked it at Bet Jam.

MSU's passing game is terrible and Iowa will struggle to score.

after watching them LOSE (and lose $ for me) at home vs northwestern I will agree with the above statement.

Yes, Iowa will focus on JR and make Hoyer try and beat them. This is the game that will derail JR from Heisman talk. I still think he is one of the best backs in the country, but it will become difficult when teams start putting 8 in the box.

Disagree 100%.

Here was my writeup:

Iowa +6.5 -110
Iowa/Michigan State Over 56.5 -110

I understand why this line is the way it is but that doesn't mean it's right. The bookies are not giving Iowa's offense enough credit to score here but this team should have much better stats. They can both run and pass the ball very effectively and just have made dumb mistakes around the endzone all season long that makes their scoring look less than it should be. Iowa scores here folks.

This should be a fairly high scoring game. I would say a 27-24 type of game going either way. Iowa could easily be 5-0 right now.

There is a reason some teams make dumb mistakes constantly, because they are not that good. Also, MSU is probably the best team they have faced all season including PITT.

I am not trying to be rude, but how many of the Iowa games have you seen? Throw out the FIU and Maine games.

Iowa has scored 17, 20, 17 in their last 3 games against teams whose teams defenses are decent, so now against Sparty they are going to break out for 27?

The first 2 games don't even count. They are 1-2 in games where they actually had a chance to lose before taking the field. The only way they were going to lose to FIU or Maine was if they didn't physically show up for the game.

The errors will eventually even themselves out though. They have been extremely unlucky this season as far as points go.

Against the 3 legit teams they've faced, here is the breakdown...

Northwestern: Ran for huge chunks, passed easily. Run and pass working great. They lost 4 fumbles that game and could easily have put up 40-50 points.

Pittsburgh: Ran very well, passing game good but not great but enough to make them balanced and score points. Just could not get it into the end zone. Could easily have scored 10-14 more points.

Iowa State: Ran very well, passing game stunk. Iowa State had everyone back from last year in the secondary and just outplayed the WRs.

With a quality running game and a passing threat, this team can and will score points. They have a dominant offensive line and it's only a matter of time before the QBs get going. They should overpower Michigan State at the point of attack and run easily. Michigan State can't apply enough pressure to stop the pass either.

Not saying Iowa won't win the game. Also, Iowa's defense can shutdown MSU. It wouldn't suprise me if Iowa won 24-17, but both sides need to score.
