Investing on the Rockets future?

I just wagered $25 on the Rockets to win next years title at +1415

With Artest this team now possesses a couple of defensive stoppers (Artest, Battier) and three guys (T-Mac, Ming, and Artest) that can score 20 plus more times than not.

Not saying they'll win it all but given the price I'm willing to invest.

yeah adding artest for bobby jackson who was useless anyways is a big trade for them

my only concern is they dont have an elite point guard that so many of the best west teams have ( williams, paul, nash, parker, davis etc )

but they are definitely alot better today than yesterday

I think if a team is hitting at all cylinders and has great overall talent/chemistry they can overcome the lack of great point guard play.

Bulls of the 90's and early 2000's are a good example.

Not to mention Celtics and Lakers.

This team now posses two studs on defense and a big man in the middle. I like the value.

Thats why I'm not investing more. Yao and T-Mac are as fragile as they come.

i think its a good bet. $25 isnt gonna hurt you if you lose but nice payout if they win. if everyone stays healthy on the rockets they have a great shot at taking it

Yeah I'm sticking to my half a tank (takes $50 to fill my plastic transportation vehicle up) wager.
