Intertops needs to be taken to task for this kind of line...

swami- Well said. The only people to blame for sportsbooks putting up lines like Intertops did on that Florida Marlins prop are the guys that bet them. It's not any big secret to people like me that bet a lot of soccer that Intertops has enough vig built into their lines to make a loan shark blush. There's only two things I can do about it. The first one is don't have an account there and secondly, tell others what kind of prices they're posting.

thanks bob for the "props"

kudos to d2 for protecting the squares and providing sharp and semisharp players with one more place with reasonable lines (at least in this instance). i sometimes forget that people gamble for a living and due to limits and bad lines they often cannot get down as much as they like on a game. when books copy lines it makes it easier for those with a lean on a game to get as much action as they want on a specific number without worrying about limits. for me, i would rather have diverse lines so i can choose the best one for my play.

Marlins v Giants: California Dreary?

Florida Marlins to Win by 3 or More Runs

old: +160
new: +275

----------------------------------------------

With any luck, if any square bet into this after they changed the line, they took home an extra $115 for each $100 bet - then again, maybe not so good, they might be encouraged to continue

I see computer parts selling for double the price and gasoline selling for double the price.

Price gouging is when someone offers something that you have to buy like gasoline when you cant get it anywhere else at any other price.
Or selling a candy bar on an island where to people are stranded. One person has 100 kit kats and one person has only money.

I like to see lines like that. The ability to choose is what is cool. They offer that line and make money on it and dont sink when they offer a good deal the other way.

FOr example maybe bodog offering those bets on props is the reason we get some 10 cent bases.

just my 1 cent

Robbing squares to pay sharps? How else is it supposed to be done, and yea even with their high juice and at time ridiculous lines, they have a major weakness.
