This in game stuff is pretty sweet, except for the fact that I am down about $100 so far.

Does anyone have experience with in-game bettign at Intertops? I'm lookign at this for the first time and they have a SCARY rule:

"Bets placed within 5 seconds of a score or other event that may affect the result will be considered void"

Every damn play could be considered an event that effects the result...that's the whole point of in-game betting! Does Intertops use this rule to actually screw people???

D2, that's one rule I'd avoid - just the fact they'd post such an ambiguous rule means I'd not bother - who needs to give a book that kind of power?

But let's talk about the Cubs, shall we? 7 out of the last 8, and gee, their bullpen hasn't cratered. And they seem to be in the lead in their division? Come on, give me some!

They had to add the 5 second rule. For last years superbowl you could cue up a bet and click it before they pulled the line.

When you click to confirm a bet it takes 5 seconds to get a confirmation. That prevents betting on a team to score when you know they just picked off a ball and are in the process of running it back for a score. I did that 3 or 4 times in the superbowl last year; easiest money I ever hit.

ALOT of books have lost thousands because of clever scripters. Its generally a GOOD rule.

lol Kenny nice job. Well, if the "5 second rule" is simply the 5 seconds that it takes for them to accept the bet then that's fine. My concern obviously is that they've later void a wager that had already been accepted. That's what would scare me.

Agreed, D2 - it's not the score that bothers me, it's the 'other event'. So on a 3rd and 25 with a game on the number you decide to bet the team on defense just before the snap, the other team fumbles and your team jumps on the ball at the 3, late 4th quarter. You didn't know that would happen, you simply bet the percentages if the book was stupid enough to have this on the board (extreme example, most would never have had this OB). Does the book get to void the bet?

Don't know, don't care - not interested in betting into a book with the rule D2 posted.

That 5 second rule is a joke and SIA also had terrible lines last year on in-game betting. I can't bet at Intertops or SIA so i'm jealous!!

I've played two games there. Got Oakland+8 last night

.

It seems to me that the line is temporarily not available at critical events, such as 3rd and goal.

It also seems that the line sometimes but not always automatically refreshes. Is there something I need to do in IE?

I think this in-game betting would ruin the game for me. I like to relax during the game. Kick-off is breaktime
