I read on my homepage where there was an article about some serious issues with IE & people/hacks being able to get access to your accounts online. It went on to advise that you should quit using IE as they were not sure if IE was going to issue a patch or whatever to correct the problem. I don't know shit about p/c's but it made me switch & i switched to firefox & what a difference it made in my p/c's performance, my high speed is now blazing fast & i feel a lot more secure. I am not telling you to switch to any certain one as i don't know one from another but thought i would pass this on if one wants to look into it. gl

Firefox is definitely the way to go IMO. Congrats on the switch.

IE 8 is coming out soon enough.

There are other pretty good browsers out there besides firefox: maxthon, opera, slimbrowser and one I'm trying out k-meleon which is supposed to be easy on resources.

I plead ignorance, but is it a good idea to have several browsers on your computer? (My worry is that a conflict --iow--an accident waiting to happen on puter)

My techie just came to the office to work on my machines. She said I was a baaad boy, and I got some serious shit going on.

I'm like, I have fucking expensive firewall box, I have anti-virus software that updates every night, I have spy ware software that you recommended, I use Firefox for my browser and Yahoo for e-mail, and I'm still getting shit.

She said yep, the bad guys are winning and the good guys are chasing.

WTF?

No problems with multiple browsers. I use Firefox mostly, but have IE and Safari loaded. Firefox has the best add-ons in my opinion

THANKS!
I rechecked for update and it was there this time!

Yahoo told the world about the problem, but I don't see an article showing it's fixed!
Typical news reporting!

I'm in the minority about this. To me IE is much better than FF.
I do give a slight edge to FF on speed, but nothing else.

I'm not computer savvy but since switching to FF i don't have any delays when switching from page to page or site to site & my p/c with high speed is now performing like high speed. I actually liked IE but it was slower than shit, barman gave me some assistance but it only worked briefly.I can always go back to IE but i do not see that happening with the way FF is performing.

I'm tired of IE locking up on me all the time. I've used Firefox before. I'm switching to that now.
