an e-mail I received, it doesn't seem like it's making outrageous claims so I'm passing it on

Even if it's not entirely accurate, I believe it's probably substantially accurate because it makes many of the same arguments I've made over time

-----------------------------------------------

Intellectuals can persuade the public that government programs are good for us all, which sounds ok and feel good, but are not practical in terms of implementation. They hide in academia, and are seldom touched by the real world. Here are the facts:

1.
California
New Mexico
Mississippi
Alabama
Illinois
Kentucky
Ohio
New York
Maine
South Carolina

These 11 States now have More People on Welfare than they Employ!!!

2.
Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2012, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other benefits, the average U.S. Household below the poverty line received $168.00 a day in government support.

What's the problem with that much support?
Well, the median household income in America is just over $50,000, which averages out to $137.13 a day.

To put it another way, being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for 40 hour week, while the average job pays $24.00 an hour.

3.
A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided statistics from a survey by the United Nations International Health Organization:

Percentage (%) of men and women who survived a cancer five years after diagnosis:
U.S. 65%
England 46%
Canada 42%

% of patients diagnosed with diabetes -received treatment within 6 months:

U.S. 93%
England 15%
Canada 43%

% of seniors needing hip replacement who received it within six months:
U.S. 90%
England 15%
Canada 43%

% referred to a medical specialist who see one within one month:
U.S. 77%
England 40%
Canada 43%

Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million people:
U.S. 71
England 14
Canada 18

% of seniors (65+), with low income, who are in "excellent health":
U.S. 12%
England 2%
Canada 6%

And now…for the last statistic:
National Health Insurance?

U.S. NO
England YES
Canada YES

4.
Check the last set of statistics!!

The percentage of each past president's cabinet... who had worked in the private business sector...prior to their appointment to the cabinet.
You know what the private business sector is: a real-life business...not a government job.

Here are the percentages.

38% T. Roosevelt
40% Taft
52% Wilson
49% Harding
48% Coolidge
42% Hoover
50% F. D. Roosevelt
50% Truman
57% Eisenhower
30% Kennedy
47% Johnson
53% Nixon
42% Ford
32% Carter
56% Reagan
51% GH Bush
39% Clinton
55% GW Bush
8% Obama

This helps explain the bias, if not the incompetence, of this current administration: ONLY 8% of them...have ever worked in private business!

That's right! Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents!

And these people are trying to tell our corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?

Or about jobs when he has never really had one?

And, when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers?

They've spent most of their time in academia, government, and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers."

Pass this on, because we'll NEVER see these facts...in the main stream media.

My points

The welfare state is too large, and too generous. There's actually a built in disincentive to working in may cases

Our healthcare system is the best in the world, it actually cures illnesses which is far more important than being too costly

Obama lacks common sense, he doesn't understand anything about life although he thinks he can micro manage yours

Nice rebuttal with nothing to back up your claim and
you wonder why I refer to you as vittered jr.

So you're good with Willie posting these "facts" without anything (unless a chain email counts) to back them up, but you're bothered by my response that doesn't include anything to back it up. Good to know.

Obama shock: Another $6 billion in 'midnight regulations'

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...llion-in-midnight-regulations/article/2610168

=================================================================

That scary low percentage of Hussein's stooges who have worked in the private sector...maybe it's 8%, maybe it's 22%, maybe it's less...it doesn't really matter because these idiots have no clue what the're doing, and it's all by design.

All these sheltered delusional academics - and let's be honest, they're Marxists - care about is their brainwashed ideology.

While I agree with the premise, just by researching fact 1 I can see it is misleading. It should be "People dependent on gov.," not "people on welfare". The numbers include people with gov. jobs or on a gov. pension and medicaid recipients. Don't get me wrong, I don't like that and think it's bad for several reasons but it isn't welfare. Haven't researched the other facts.

Just 5 more things Trump will undo with the stroke of his pen.

The only thing that concerns me is might get carpal tunnel from
writing his name so often.
