Good point. This is why I made my offer as a response to Ivan's situation and not as a stand-alone thread. I don't think it's right to make a business out of this but if one or two private deals are made in which both parties are happy then why not?

But ya gotta admit that there's nothing like a secondary market when you want to know the truth about the true value of something.

I know a few guys who buy debts, they are connected! What the hell are you doing buying any debt from a shoip who couldn't pay during SuperBowl week? Don't you think that PanAm will have more trouble paying now after the superbowl when 80% of their clients will pull their money out?? Unless you are working for pan am your offer sounds fishy to me! a bad bet to take it. That is, unless,
the buyer can collect where you wouldn't
be able to in the same spot.

I have a small amount about 650 with BPA, so its not killing me, but some guys here have very large amounts that have changed their lives I`m sure...and ruined their Super Bowl!

I'm not an insider. I think this will work out eventually so that's why I'm making the offer. I don't think that anyone should take it but if you really want out badly or need the money right away you can take it. Everybody here was implying that Bet Panam was a complete writeoff. I thought people would be happy to know that it isn't a complete write off.

This is the deal of the century no MATTER who is offering it! Even if this guy worls for betpanam, that doesnt matter. Would you rather have 50% of your balance or nothing! ANd dont look for a bailout with these clients that betpanam has. Would be stupid for anyone legitamate book to offer a buyout ot most of you guys.
