Hello,

Just thought I would write this for anyone ever thinking about using interactive wagering...Tonight I was watching the San Francisco - Padres game and in the 6th inning after the Padres scored some runs to take a 6-4 lead I said..let me log in to my interactive account and see whats happening...

Giants down 6-4 in the 6th....Interactives are now at $32 a pop for the Giants to win the game.....Im thinking I know the Giants will find a way to win...but I am scared to pull the trigger.....The interactives go back up to $40 after the giants score a run to make it 6-5 in the bottom of the 6th...Im thinking I should have taken it!!!! so I watch the top of the 7th and the Padres dont score...here is my chance to jump in..The interactive for the Giants is now at $30 a pop...I take 20 contracts for a total of $600....(I deposited $750 when I had a feeling I might want to try it)....bottom of the 7th the Giants dont do anything..Im thinking crap...and top of the 8th Padres score another on two outs!!! I knew I shouldnt have done it I said.....

Bottom of the 8th...first guy gets on next guy strikes out....After some heavy nail biting EDGARDO ALFONSO of all people single me home a run....Im back in it!!!!!...Next batter..Santiago....2 strikes.....SINGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Score tied 7-7...I scream I love this game!!!
next at bat Grissom gets the runner from 2nd to 3rd...PLEASE ONE MORE HIT....WILD PITCH BABY!!!! scores Feliz!!! 8-7 Giants bottom of the 8th!!!!

Interactives for Padres go down to 10 and I pick up 7 of them for $70 to Guarantee myself a break even night (or close to it) if the Padres come back...

Ended up with $1250 profit on the night from interactives..and it made for a really fun time watching the game.....You guys should really try it if you ever thought about it...

I highly recommend WSEX for interactive.

Sounds like a fun time. However, I would think that it would really take some experience to get good at it. I'm having a tough time predicting 2nd half scores in football (although I've done rather well with WNBA).

How long have you been betting interactives? How long does it take to get good at it?

I have been doing interactives for about 2 years now. It didnt really take long...What I look for is the favorite who gets down by a run or two...The leading team will usually be worth 70-80$ each contract and the losing team $20-30 each contract.....If you have high hopes the favorite will win it (or the team you like to win who is currently losing) if you buy $200 worth and its currently at $20...that is $200 risking to win $800 profit...Just like last night I figured that the Giants had a good chance of coming back and beating a sad Padres team....

I agree, I've done extremely well with interactives. The only thing is, the favorite's prices don't go that low until late in the game (generally 5th and beyond). Generally I try to find a team to load up on when they are down 2 runs or so and in a jam. If they get out of it and then get back in the game it gives you great hedge opportunities. Baseball being a back and forth game gives you a good profit chance.

I would think NBA could get you similar returns with the "everybody makes a run" thing, but I'm sure prices account for this.

Interactives are bad because they take away the most important aspect of a winning gambling strategy - MONEY MANAGEMENT

I found tha I was always rushed and couldn't think properly - yeah, it's exciting, but it's not a good way to MAKE MONEY - if you want to have fun, go for it - but if you want to be up 10 units by the end of September, stay away

I disagree with part of that. Money management is difficult, but it can be a good way to make money if you pick your spots wisely.

What I meant was:

You need to make QUICK decisions and that doesn't allow one to look at the odds properly.

There is one way to "pick your spot", as you put it - and that is to have a chart that can pinpoint a faulty line. Creating such a chart will take weeks of work, though, but IMHO that is the only way to realize a SPOT within a few seconds.
