Definition: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness, the quality of being honest and fair.

According to the commish

"There clearly has been a society shift as far as how people view gambling. … We are still very much opposed to legalized gambling on sports. We think that has an impact on the integrity of our game.”

He also believes that the boycott has nothing to do with the rating decline and the main stream media (networks) will agree with him probably because they have invested over a billion in contracts with the NFL to televise these games.

Do they want ratings to go up & possibly double? Legalize sports betting & DFS in all 50 states, then you will see ratings sky rocket.........if it wasn't for gambling, IMO, 60% or so of the people watching wouldn't watch the games.

I for one can't watch a game unless I have something on it.

Do you think he meant that we do not have integrity if we wager on football?

IMO, when he says if sports is legalized, the sports itself loses integrity because of supposed fixing going on......I think if they legalize, you can then monitor all the bets coming in.

There are so many arguments that one can come up with if games are fixed or not. However, I truly believe that games are not fixed by any means. I will say this, the word and meaning of INTEGRITY is lacking from one poster who post in this site. He is the BIGGEST FRAUD on this site who plays about $50K-$100K in one game. He would post in every sports forum that he has about $250K-$300K pending total bets in a day. We all know that's a lie. He's known as the "Air Bettor" aka Gremlins2K. The dude thinks he has more money than any banks. Lol I've tracked his record on a losing end almost every week. I don't know why the commish or mods on this site don't give him a vacay. Afterall, as a rule on this site, it mentions about "posters who post outrageous wagers" & perhaps the word integrity should also be adhered. Track all of his post everyday for an entire week and y'all agree with me. He's the biggest laughing stock on this site.

Any sort of fixing attempts would be very isolated incidents. There's just far too many variables, and too many eyes on what's going on to make it feasible. Even a generation ago it would have been far more possible, but things have changed.
