He took a chance and tried to play big shot and act like he got some secret info cause he thought boston was goin to win and if they wouldv'e, he walk away lookn like a hero that actually gets secret info. But oops, it back fired and now everyone knows it was bogus bullshit. Touts try the same shit, only difference is touts tell half their clients houston and the other half boston that way at least half the people win and think they really do have secret info and give the liar tout lots of money.

Dombrowski received a personal email from an ex team trainer (tugs) on weds telling him the things to do to get to Justin. That is why guys were stepping out of box so much early on. Told him play small ball to get the lead and it’ll get him out of rhythm. Also explained a few things that would get him out of rhythm. Sort of a mind game. Basically Verlander is using more off speed bc his fastball movement has been down all year and once you get to him he becomes flat. There are keys to these things tho. They never took the lead so the plan didn’t pan out anyways but it’s basically a whole breakdown on Justin. It was a good read and since I liked the value on sale anyways made sense to me.
By the way he didn't really get a second start in that series and he gave a two run bomb up 1st pitch when he came in relief. Like I said the trainer sent an email to Dombrowski take what you wanted out of it. I saw the email 1st hand seemed like a legit theory seeing that the guy worked with verlander his whole career.
