just heard tim rattay has torn ligiments somewhere. if he doesnt play next sunday for 49 against tampa, line will go way up. he has been one of few bright spots and falloff without him is huge. dont know for sure the extent of injury but could be a 3-5 point swing when (if) confirmed

FACT!!!

there was a live KNBR radio broadcast today, monday morning quarterback show, and in fact. he has two torn tendons due to overthrowing and rushing back from injury.

it is POSSIBLE that niners will start cody pickett in his first even NFL game.

update

gm says he played with 2 "torn tendons". coach and rattay says its a "pulled muscle" and wasnt the reason for all the interceptions. whole thing sounds very suspect. no mention of not playing this sunday - well worth watching this week. w/o a healthy rattay, 7 1/2 or 8 is not nearly enuf.
