Don't believe we'll see a big difference either way, may see a few less homeruns, which we have already seen a slight dropoff in. But, because of expansion, there are still a lot of AAA pitchers holding down #4 and #5 spots in rotations, and in middle relief.

with all the congressional hearings and stuff, lots of guys might get off the juice and cause scoring to go down.

Dante,

I hope you're not talking about the effect of steroid testing because that is a joke.

1. it is not detectable in 48 hours

2. you can come back in an hour if you can't pee (wink wink)

3. you are not tested for human growth hormones

4. there are MANY masking agents available for urine testing

and MOST importantly

5. MLB doesn't want to catch you

So if you took steroids for off-season conditioning, and you just wait until the day after someone on your team is tested to begin the new cycle, you're set.

So in my opinion, the totals won't really change and I won't play unders across the board for the first week like I had originally planned :lolBIG:

I think you will see a difference in the game. Many teams, even American league will start playing small ball. ChiSox going in that direction, Twins and DRays already there. That could affect scoring some, a lot less 3 run homers, but then again it could create more scoring with better efficiency. The pitching is horribly diluted, with average arms getting big bucks. I think you will see some guys coming off the juice. Those congressional hearings were a real wakeup call. Good ol Jose. For years, maybe until now, my favorite Ty Cobb, was the most hated player, by other players. I nominate Jose Canseco for the Tyrus Cobb Congeniality award.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

Keep in mind it is believed pitchers use the stuff as much as hitters. Dodger Staduim had a $20 Million overhaul with a smaller foul territory. Could see a small effect at least. Twinkies seem to have a better offensive team. Houston weaker. Giants certainly weaker if no Bonds. Washington's park should play neutral. Overall? Not much difference but not really sure.
